Tesla Diner Could Spead Globally

Tesla is yet again causing a stir in the automotive industry and beyond, this time for opening a diner in Los Angeles. On the surface, that might sound like a silly or trivial thing. But the reality is Tesla might have made a smart marketing move which will shift the industry have talked about doing EV cafes or diners where there are vehicle chargers and a place for humans to rest while waiting. A few places have established such things with varying success. But this is the first time we're aware of an automaker doing that.
Instead of just a simple coffee shop with a few chargers, the Tesla Diner in Los Angeles has a number of Superchargers outside, plus a big movie screen with the sound piped to the Teslas' sound systems so you can sit back and watch a flick while recharging your ride, or even afterward.
The diner itself has a mix of retro and futuristic flair. It serves up all the comfort foods you would expect, like burgers, fries, and shakes. But customers can order the food from their Tesla's touchscreen instead of going to the counter.
There's also an Optimus robot standing behind a counter, serving up popcorn to anyone who hands it a bag. That's a fun little gimmick for young and old alike, adding to the novelty of the experience.
In total, there are a whopping 80 Superchargers outside the Tesla Diner. Elon Musk says if the first one is a success, he wants to build more in every major city as well as at Supercharger sites on long-distance travel routes.
Imagine coming across one of these things in the dusty desert of the Southwest where before there were hardly any good places to stop.
Will this move sway more people to consider a Tesla? Will this make Tesla owners more dedicated to the brand? Will any other automakers try doing similar things?
