(Video) Malaysian EXO-L Gets Noticed By EXO's Kai For His Eye-Catching Concert Outfit
EXO (엑소) member Kai (카이) recently kickstarted his 'KAION' solo concert tour in Seoul, performing for thousands of EXO-Ls (EXO fans). However, one surprising highlight of yesterday's show was a Malaysian fan who caught the idol's attention with his eye-catching concert outfit. For context, the concert had a dress code of 'camouflage military'. As such, many fans showed up in camo print and combat-style clothing. However, one fan took it further and showed up at the concert wearing a full ghillie suit. The fan quickly went viral for the unusual yet very on-theme outfit. As it turned out, the mysterious fan was a Malaysian EXO-L based in Seoul named Naufal Omar. After learning of his identity, fans flooded Naufal's Twitter account with comments on his outfit. Many praised his dedication to the dress code, even saying he won the night with his outfit. Others also hoped that Kai would notice his hard work, noting that it's uncomfortable to wear a ghillie suit to a concert. Thankfully, Naufal's efforts were not in vain because the EXO member did notice him and even gave him a shout-out on stage. In the video Naufal shared, the singer was on stage when he said he wanted to look for the fan in the ghillie suit. After locating Naufal in the crowd, Kai cheekily asked him, 'Aren't you hot?', before telling him to take a cold shower once he returns home from the concert. Adding to Naufal's surprise, Kai remembered that the two had met three years ago for a video on the Hello82 YouTube channel. Netizens filled the comments section, congratulating Naufal for getting noticed by his idol. Some also pointed out how Kai remembered him, highlighting the 'Adult Swim' singer's love for his fans. Others said that the fan deserved the shout-out for going through the trouble of wearing a ghillie suit to the concert. Naufal was understandably elated over the interaction, even saying he could 'rest in peace' after the interaction. Congratulations to Naufal for getting noticed by his idol! Perhaps more Malaysians can catch Kai's attention during his KL concert this weekend! In the meantime, watch the moment when Naufal got a shout-out from Kai below: Sources: Twitter (1)(2)(3)

(Video) EXO Fans Cheer After Lay Zhang Reunites With Kai For 'Wait On Me' Dance Challenge
K-pop acts use dance challenges to promote their new releases, while fans see it as another opportunity for idols to interact with each other. Recently, EXO-Ls (EXO fans) cheered when they saw who Kai did his dance challenge with. EXO (엑소) member Kai (카이) recently dropped his new single 'Wait On Me' from his mini album of the same title. As such, the idol has been posting many dance challenges on social media, some with other K-pop stars like fromis9 and MEOVV. However, it was his dance challenge posted on 13th May 2025 (Tuesday) that garnered the most attention because it featured fellow EXO member Lay Zhang (张艺兴/레이). While it shouldn't be a surprise that Kai and Lay could collaborate for a video, given they're both EXO members, it's worth noting that the latter hasn't been active in the group in a long time. Lay hasn't joined many of EXO's group activities since 2021 to focus on his solo career in China. It has also been years since Kai and Lay were seen together, with some fans saying it's been six years since their last public interaction. The video has gained over 3 million views on Instagram and over 2.5 million views on TikTok in less than 24 hours. Most comments were ecstatic over seeing Kai and Lay reunite for a dance challenge, with some saying they still can't believe the video is real. Others noted that it's been a long time since Lay was seen with an EXO member, quipping that the clip is monumental for EXO fans who have been waiting for a group reunion. The video also sparked discussion of the group making a comeback later this year. Since EXO's youngest member, Sehun, will be discharged from his military service in September, some fans speculate that the K-pop group could be reuniting for a new release by the end of 2025. Some fans also hope EXO will go back on tour soon, as their last group tour was in 2019. In the meantime, Kai will embark on his solo tour this month, with a performance in Kuala Lumpur on 24th May 2025 (Saturday). Here's to hoping that the EXO group comeback will be a reality! 'Erasing Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin?' Fans call out SM Entertainment over EXO Kai's show 'Jeongwaja'
Just days ago, former SM Entertainment CEO Lee Soo-man made headlines with the release of his own documentary, which grabbed attention for all the wrong reasons. Now, the agency—one of the Big 4 (alongside HYBE, JYPE, and YG Entertainment)—is back in the news, facing backlash from fans and netizens. They're back in the news because many believe the agency is deliberately erasing EXO-CBX members—Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin—from recent content. The controversy began after EXO Kai's show Jeongwaja aired online, where viewers noticed the CBX members were not mentioned. Erasing EXO-CBX? Kai was seen interacting with a guest who didn't recognize him. While he was shocked by this, he tried to jog the person's memory and started mentioning names of EXO members. For those who may not know, the group consists of nine members: Xiumin, Suho, Lay, Baekhyun, Chen, Chanyeol, D.O., Kai, and Sehun. However, D.O. ended his contract with SM Entertainment to pursue different career paths. Meanwhile, Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin launched their own label to manage their solo careers due to contract issues. Despite this, they are all still very much part of the group. Fans furious EXO's fandom, EXO-Ls, were quick to notice that the CBX members were never mentioned during the interaction and the omission raised eyebrows. Some fans pointed out visible cuts in the clip, sparking speculation that Kai might have said their names but those parts were intentionally edited out. However, others weren't entirely sure if he mentioned them at all. One said, "No, but whispering a few names in a row really doesn't require that many cuts. Like, what else could they be saying in between if not… oh! Just naming three people literally everyone knows? The cuts are so obvious." no but whispering a few names in a row really doesn't require that many cuts like what else could they be saying in between if not… oh! just naming three people literally everyone knows??? the cuts are so obvious Another added, "This is the result of letting SM get away with everything. Now SM is normalizing the CBX erasure in every context. What makes you think they'll still let them participate in future group comebacks, lol?" this is the result of letting sm get away with everything. now sm is normalizing the cbx erasure in every context. what makes you think that sm will still let them participate in the future group comebacks lol One more fan wrote, "Blocking the members from talking about EXO-CBX and deleting the scenes from videos if they do is extremely evil and shameless behavior." Blocking the members from talking about EXO-CBX and deleting the scenes from videos if the members talk about them is extremely EVIL & SHAMELESS behavior 🤮🤮YOU CAN NOT ERASE CBX's EXISTENCE IN EXO.@SMTOWNGLOBAL COME OUT YOU COWARD AND EXPLAIN YOURSELF #EXO #CBX_IS_EXO… SM Entertainment blacklisting it's former artists? This incident comes amid growing accusations that SM Entertainment may also be blacklisting their former artists ahead of upcoming comebacks. Baekhyun is set to release new music in May, as is former SM artist Jaejoong. However, many noted that neither appeared on the promotional comeback roaster shared by 1theK, a major K-pop media channel known for covering high-profile releases. The allegations have drawn parallels to past instances, such as Jaejoong's widely discussed "blacklisting" after he parted ways with SM Entertainment following a legal dispute. Many believe SM has a history of strained relationships with artists who exit the company, particularly those who pursue legal action or raise concerns publicly. no jaejoong or baek like okay nobody gaf then While SM Entertainment has yet to comment on the current situation, the perceived exclusion of CBX from Kai's show has added fuel to long-standing concerns if EXO is disbanding and also about the company's treatment of their former idols.
