10 potential undrafted free agents the Eagles could target after the 2025 NFL draft
10 potential undrafted free agents the Eagles could target after the 2025 NFL draft With the seventh round coming to a close, here are ten potential undrafted prospects the Philadelphia Eagles could look to sign. The Eagles have made all their picks: — Dave Zangaro (@DZangaroNBCS) April 26, 2025 The Eagles-related portion of the draft is over after Howie Roseman added versatility and firepower on both sides of the football. Philadelphia always takes an urgent look at the undrafted free agent pool of prospects, and 2025 will be no different. Reed Blankenship is the latest undrafted player to succeed, and this draft class offers a ton of potential that wasn't selected. Gabe Hall is among the players we predicted would land in Eagles training camp. With the seventh round coming to a close, here are ten potential undrafted prospects the Philadelphia Eagles could look to sign. Luke Lachey, TE, Iowa A native of Ohio, Lachey enjoyed a 'breakout' season as a redshirt sophomore in 2022 when he recorded 28 receptions for 398 yards and four touchdowns. The following season, Lachey suffered a season-ending injury after three games. In the full two games he played that season, Lachey recorded 10 receptions for 131 yards. This past season, Lachey recorded 28 receptions for 231 yards. Xavier Restrepo, WR, Miami His pro day performance, which included 40-yard dash times in the 4.8-5.1 range, raised some concerns about his draft stock, although he still possesses elite skills as a slot receiver. Roseman and 31 other GMs will have to weigh his slow 40-yard dash time against his production from last season, when he hauled in 69 receptions for 1,127 yards (16.3 yards per catch average). Restrepo lacks deep speed, but could have a Cooper Kupp-like impact in the slot, and he's elusive in the open field and hard to bring down. Restrepo was a consensus All-American in 2024 when he rewrote the Hurricanes' record books. He finished his career with 200 catches for 2,844 yards and 21 touchdowns. Jared Ivey, DE, Ole Miss The 6-foot-6, 285-pound Ivey totaled 125 tackles, five pass deflections, two forced fumbles, and 16 sacks in three seasons with the Rebels. Cobee Bryant, CB, Kansas What he lacks in size, Bryant more than makes up for with his aggressive play on the outside at the cornerback position. Tez Johnson, WR, Oregon Johnson uses his speed to stack cornerbacks out of press or overtake off-man coverage. Logan Brown, OL, Kansas The 6-foot-6, 315-pound offensive tackle spent four seasons at Wisconsin from 2019-2022. After redshirting his freshman season, he appeared in 26 games, including three starts, for the Badgers before entering the transfer portal in November 2022. Brown logged 13 total appearances at Kansas over two years before deciding to go pro. LeQuint Allen, RB, Syracuse Allen is a Millville, New Jersey, native. The versatile running back posted 2,085 rushing yards and 30 total touchdowns over his final two seasons at Syracuse. Joshua Gray, OL, Oregon State Last season, Gray p;ayed in and started all 12 games and ended his career with an Oregon State-record 56 career games Jah Joyner, Edge, Minnesota Ricky White, WR, UNLV White has been one of the top receivers in the nation over the past two seasons at UNLV after transferring from Michigan State. The 6-foot-1, 190-pounder had a dominant 2023, earning All-American honors with an 80-catch, 1,314-yard, seven-touchdown season. White followed it up by recording 79 receptions for 1,014 yards and 11 scores in 2024. Kaimon Rucker, Edge Rusher, UNC Connor Colby, OL, Iowa Donovan Edwards, RB, Michigan Marcus Yarns, RB, Delaware Alijah Huzzie, Slot CB, UNC A potential contributor at the slot cornerback spot, Huzzie is aggressive and stays around the football despite lacking elite size (5-9 1/4, 194). Huzzie earned an honorable mention in All-ACC honors with the Tar Heels after transferring from East Tennessee State. Traeshon Holden, WR, Oregon Holden declared for the NFL Draft after spending two seasons at Oregon under coach Dan Lanning. Holden has 19 career touchdowns and played the first two seasons of his collegiate career with the Alabama Crimson Tide, where he posted 46 catches for 570 yards and seven touchdowns. He arrived in Eugene in 2023 and became an immediate contributor in the passing game for Bo Nix, finishing the Fiesta Bowl-winning season with 37 grabs for 452 yards, six touchdowns, and one rushing score. 9. Nick Nash, Wide Receiver, San Jose State A Biletnikoff Award finalist, the 6-foot-3 senior took home college football's triple crown, leading the nation in receptions, receiving yards, and receiving touchdowns.

5 Eagles-related storylines to watch during the 2025 NFL owners meetings
5 Eagles-related storylines to watch during the 2025 NFL owners meetings Banning the tush push, free agent losses, and a new offensive coordinator are among the Eagles-related storylines leading up to NFL owners' meetings. The Eagles and 31 other teams are preparing for the April NFL draft, but the first owner of business will be the league's owners meeting in Florida. The NFL's annual meeting will take place in Palm Beach, Florida, from March 30 to April 2, and plenty of storylines will surround the Super Bowl champions. Philadelphia will replace Kellen Moore and Doug Nussmeier, who will return to New Orleans to become the head coach and offensive coordinator for the Saints. We're looking at several Eagles-related storylines with the meetings beginning on Sunday morning. Eagles are the champs Last year at this time, owner Jeffrey Lurie had to answer questions about his team losing six of its final seven games, including a blowout loss to the Buccaneers in the NFC wild-card game. Philadelphia would hire Kellen Moore and Vic Fangio while signing Saquon Barkley and Zack Baun, among others, in NFL free agency. This year will be smooth sailing for Lurie, who'll answer questions about opposing franchises trying to copy his model. Howie Roseman to explain his off-season moves Last off-season, the Eagles GM hit on some big free agent swings like Saquon Barkley, Bryce Huff, and C.J. Gardner-Johnson. Roseman also restructured Josh Sweat and traded Haason Reddick last off-season. After winning the Super Bowl this off-season, the Eagles suffered massive losses in free agency. Still, they rebounded to make several key signings, including A.J. Dillon (RB), Joshua Uche (LB), Adoree' Jackson (CB), Charley Hughlett (LS), Patrick Johnson (LB), and Avery Williams (KR/PR). The first wave of free agency saw Josh Sweat (Cardinals), Milton Williams (Patriots), Kenneth Gainwell (Steelers), Mekhi Becton (Chargers), and Oren Burks (Bengals) all depart. More potential free agent moves Philadelphia loves to pull off a late free agency trade or signing around NFL draft time, and this year, Howie Roseman could potentially acquire another pass rusher, linebacker, or safety. The Eagles could also trade away assets like Dallas Goedert. Nick Sirianni's revenge Last year at the meetings, Sirianni was grilled on the Eagles' disastrous finish and his feelings on the Kellen Moore and Vic Fangio hires. A year later, Sirianni is a Super Bowl champion who'll likely sign a long-term contract extension in the coming weeks. NFL Draft Philadelphia has eight draft picks and 22+ over the next two years. With a Super Bowl roster and few holes, Roseman could draft the best player available and look to move up and down the draft board. Rule changes Detroit proposed a change to the bylaws that would base future playoff seeding exclusively on records. The seven teams with the best records in each conference would be seeded 1-7. The top seed would still receive a first-round bye, and the No. 2 would host the No. 7; the No. 3 would host the No. 6; and the No. 4 would host the No. 5. Green Bay has proposed adding restrictions to rules prohibiting assisting a runner and essentially getting the tush push banned.

Eagles-related takeaways from Bengals signing WR duo to historic deals totaling $276M
Eagles-related takeaways from Bengals signing WR duo to historic deals totaling $276M Eagles-related takeaways from Bengals make Ja'Marr Chase the highest-paid non-QB in NFL history; Tee Higgins the highest-paid No. 2 WR in NFL history The Eagles are the best-run organization in the NFL, and the Cincinnati Bengals conundrum with their star wide receiver duo explains just how magnificent owner Jeffrey Lurie truly is. Star quarterback Joe Burrow applied pressure. Bengals team owner Mike Brown put his money where his mouth was, signing wide receivers Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins to historic deals that keep Cincinnati's core offensive group together for years. Jordan Schultz of Fox Sports reported that the Bengals agreed to deals with both players totaling eight years and $276 million. This past season, Chase became the fifth player since the merger to lead the NFL in receptions, receiving yards, and touchdown catches in the same season. Chase caught 127 of his 175 targets for 1,708 yards and 17 touchdowns. The 26-year-old Higgins caught 73 of 109 targets for 911 yards and 10 touchdowns over 12 regular-season games in 2024, and after the contract extension, he will remain a Bengal for the foreseeable future. With the reactions still trickling in, we're looking at Eagles-related takeaways and observations from the move. Comparing the numbers Ja'Marr gets a 4-year deal worth $161 million with $112 million guaranteed — making him the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history. Higgins gets a 4-year deal worth $115 million with the first two years guaranteed — making him the highest-paid wide receiver two in NFL history. For Philadelphia, Brown initially signed a four-year, $100 million extension with the Eagles after getting traded by the Titans. Brown received $57.22 million in guarantees, of which $40 million was guaranteed at signing. After Brown earned All-Pro honors and helped the Eagles reach the Super Bowl and playoffs in his first two seasons with the club, last April 25, 2024, the Eagles and Browns agreed on a three-year extension worth $92 million. The contract has $84 million in guarantees. $16 million of that guarantee was new money; the rest was the money in his prior agreement with the Eagles. Brown has option bonuses due in 2027, 2028, and 2029. DeVonta Smith signed a three-year, $75 million contract extension with the Eagles last April. Smith received $69.997 million in guarantees and a $20.351 million signing bonus, and his 2024 and 2025 salaries are guaranteed. If on the roster on the 3rd day of the league year in 2025, Smith will earn a $14 million full guarantee on his 2026 salary. Bengals cost themselves In the time it took to sign Chase and Higgins to long-term deals, Philadelphia agreed to contract extensions with A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith, placing them in the top ten in the NFL at their respective positions. As Joe Banner and others have pointed out, the Eagles' proactive approach to negotiations saved the franchise $100 million. Where Eagles rank in combined salary at WR position? With the Bengals signing, Philadelphia's duo of A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith dropped to third in combined salaries for the No. 1 and 2 spots. Highest paid WR list With the contract, Chase becomes the highest-paid wide receiver in NFL history and the highest-paid non-QB in league history. Even with the big money being thrown around, Brown is still the fourth highest-paid wide receiver in the NFL, while DeVonta Smith is tenth at $25 million per season.

Philadelphia mayor jeered by Eagles fans during Super Bowl parade speech: 'Wrap it up!'
Philadelphia Mayor Cherelle Parker has already made a spelling error in one speech about the Philadelphia Eagles, and now she may have gone over the word count in another. During the Eagles' Super Bowl LIX victory parade on Friday, Parker took to the podium to deliver her speech to the team's gathered fans. But eventually, those in attendance started to boo her and chant "Wrap it up!" once they felt her speech went on too long. Parker's speech ultimately ended up going more than five minutes. Most of the other speeches on Friday were brief. The parade also featured Eagles general manager Howie Roseman getting hit in the head with a beer can, which caused him to bleed, and a shooting that injured two women. The mayor's Eagles-related speeches became a point of criticism in January ahead of the team's divisional round playoff victory over the Los Angeles Rams on Jan. 19, when she misspelled the team name. During a chant to celebrate the Eagles' playoff run, the Democratic mayor attempted the fan base's signature chant of spelling out the team name. However, she spelled it "E-L-G-S-E-S." The error prompted mass online mockery. Parker addressed this mistake during a press conference just days later. "We don't promise perfection, I'm so happy I never have," she told the gathering. "Especially after I couldn't spell 'Eagles' right." Reporters in attendance laughed in response. The Democrat's misspelling was then turned into a T-shirt by the independent Philadelphia sports apparel business Philly Goat. Parker is in her first term after winning the mayoral election in 2023, becoming the first woman mayor in the city's history when she defeated Republican David Oh. Parker served in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from 2005-15, and then on the Philadelphia city council from 2015-22.
