Chris Brown, Nate Bargatze, Philadelphia Eagles Open Practice, Katy Perry: Things to do this weekend in Philly

A busy weekend at the Sports Complex is bringing massive crowds, tight traffic and star-studded entertainment to the City of Brotherly Love and Sisterly Affection. From the Eagles' sold-out public practice to concerts by Chris Brown and Katy Perry, fans of all kinds will be flocking to Philly. With multiple events overlapping, event organizers are urging visitors to take public transportation. For months, Eagles fans have been surviving off highlights, meaningless depth chart debates and refreshing their social media feeds for the latest training camp clips, to get their fix of the reigning Super Bowl champs. Thursday night's preseason opener against the Bengals gave them their first taste of live action since February, but Sunday is when fans get to see the starters up close and personal. The Eagles' annual Public Practice is back at the Linc on Sunday, benefiting the Eagles Autism Foundation. Tickets are sold out, of course, but if you have tickets, here's what to know. Gates open at 4 p.m. and parking is free, but only until 6 p.m. After this, it will cost $40 to park. Due to another major event happening on Sunday at the Sports Complex (we'll get to that later), the team encourages guests to arrive early or consider taking public transportation. Guests have a chance to get autographs from Eagles alumni and select players after the practice. And don't miss out on the Eagles Autism Foundation Yard Sale near Section 132 on the main concourse, where you can buy jerseys, mini helmets, footballs, and other merch — including some signed by former players. Eagles fans can finally relax. Right? Speaking of "passionate" fanbases — Chris Brown is coming to South Philly. Brown is set to perform at Citizens Bank Park on Sunday, as part of his Breezy Bowl XX World Tour. The show marks the second stop on the tour, which kicked off Aug. 7 in Detroit. Brown is set to perform songs from his latest album, "11:11," which earned him a Grammy for best R&B album, along with some of his other classic hits. He'll take the stage with special guests Bryson Tiller and Summer Walker. With Brown's show set to begin at 7 p.m. and the Eagles' public practice starting at 6 p.m. across the street, fans have taken to social media to express their scheduling frustration. Good luck. Tickets start at $226. Former Disney heartthrobs, the Jonas Brothers, are kicking off their latest tour in their home state of New Jersey on Sunday at MetLife Stadium with a showtime of 7:30 p.m. This marks the launch of their JONAS20: Greetings From Your Hometown tour, celebrating the 20th anniversary of the band and their seventh studio album, "Greetings from Your Hometown." After burning up MetLife, the trio will head to Camden on Aug. 14 to perform at the Freedom Mortgage Pavilion at 7:30 p.m. In honor of the New Jersey natives back, NJ Transit has temporarily renamed its Meadowlands rail line the "Jonas Brothers Hometown Express." Tickets to party like it's the year 3000 start at $43. Nate Bargatze brings his laid-back, clean comedy to South Philly Friday, as part of his 2025 Big Dumb Eyes World Tour, which includes stops in Europe and the Middle East. Due to high demand, the comic added an extra show at the Wells Fargo Center. Friday's set begins at 7 p.m., with doors opening at 6 p.m. Known for his deadpan delivery and everyday observations, Bargatze delivers laughs the whole family can enjoy. While the Tennessee native is a Titans fan, he was recently spotted riding a scooter through the Sports Complex ahead of the Bengals-Eagles preseason game, giving a "Go Birds," and even giving a nod to Jalen Hurts. That may be just enough to keep the boo birds at bay. Tickets start at $61. A dose of California is coming to Philadelphia this weekend. "California Gurls" Katy Perry and Rebecca Black will be at the Wells Fargo Center on Saturday for The Lifetimes Tour. This should be a "Teenage Dream" for the pop girlies. Tickets range from $54 to $309+. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the show is expected to start at 7 p.m. The mother released her seventh studio album, "143," in September 2024, with a plethora of features including Kim Petras, Doechii, JID and 21 Savage. Midway through the tour, she dealt with a midair prop malfunction while riding a mechanical butterfly in San Francisco, California. Perry was also one of the six women who joined Blue Origin's historic all-women spaceflight crew. Comedian Godfrey brings his high-energy blend of observational humor and social commentary to Punch Line Philly all weekend long. Godfrey is set to perform two shows Friday at 7:30 and 9:45 p.m. and two shows Saturday at 7:00 and 9:15 p.m. Tickets for general admission $43. The largest amusement park in Pennsylvania has been celebrating National S'mores Day all week long, and the fun continues into the weekend. Through Sunday, Hersheypark guests can visit multiple dining locations and enjoy s'more than just the classic Hershey treats. Tickets to Hersheypark start at $54. Bill Bellamy brings his signature smooth and witty comedic style to City Winery Philadelphia this weekend, with shows Saturday at 6 and 9:30 p.m., and Sunday at 5 and 8:30 p.m. The Newark, New Jersey, native rose to fame on HBO's "Def Comedy Jam," where he famously coined the phrase "booty call," and has remained a fixture in comedy and television ever since. Bellamy has made recent television appearances on "Bel-Air," "S.W.A.T.", and had a recurring role on HBO's hit show "Insecure." Tickets range from $45 to $85 for an evening of laughs. R&B fans can look forward to a night of smooth vocals and nostalgic hits as Trey Songz and Jeremih take center stage at the Dell Music Center on Saturday. The concert, set in the heart of Strawberry Mansion, promises a night filled with fan favorites from the mid-2000s and 2010s. Showtime is at 8 p.m. and doors open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets range between $79 and $140.

Kylie Kelce Admits to Sabotaging Jason's Weight Loss Competition

Kylie Kelce Admits to Sabotaging Jason's Weight Loss Competition originally appeared on Men's Fitness. Kylie Kelce may love her husband, but she wasn't exactly rooting for him to win his latest bet. Jason spent three months in a friendly competition to drop fat and build muscle. The stakes were high: The loser had to show up to a charity event in a Speedo and get a Brazilian wax. The charity event, held at Ocean Drive in New Jersey, supported the Eagles Autism Foundation. On the July 2 episode of the New Heightspodcast he co-hosts with his brother Travis Kelce, Jason shared the final results. Allen dropped 2 percent body fat and gained 4 pounds of muscle. Jason lost 3 percent body fat and didn't gain any muscle. Results were measured using a DEXA scan, as he previously admitted to some very low-key sabotage in the form of baked goods. "I also know that I've been feeding him doughnuts and buying baked goods when appropriate," she said. "And was it a little bit of sabotage? No. If it was, Beau Allen, you owe me some money, because you're welcome." When Jason showed up to the event, he fully embraced the moment, going viral after ripping off a pair of American flag shorts to reveal a matching Speedo. Kylie couldn't help but laugh. "I had received a text message of the behind angle and proceeding to Magic Mike his shorts off. I have not seen this move before. I don't know if he practiced. If he did, it was [with doors] closed," she said. Jason, who once played football at around 300 pounds, has been steadily leaning out in retirement—especially with the help of this competition. "Dude, this is what you do… when you retire, you have to do stupid competitions like this to keep your sanity,' he joked to Travis on a previous podcast Kelce Admits to Sabotaging Jason's Weight Loss Competition first appeared on Men's Fitness on Jul 3, 2025 This story was originally reported by Men's Fitness on Jul 3, 2025, where it first appeared. Jason Kelce Reveals the One Thing He Will ‘Never' Ask Wife Kylie To Do Inside Their Home

NFL star Jason Kelce isn't looking to kick back and put his feet up at home now that he's officially retired as a professional athlete—in fact, he's desperate for his wife, Kylie, to force him into doing more chores around their shared abode. Jason, 37, who spent 13 years playing for the Philadelphia Eagles before retiring from the NFL in 2024, opened up about what his life has been like since he stopped playing—namely, how he's been trying to help out more at the Pennsylvania home he shares with Kylie and their four children. However, the former athlete was quick to admit that, despite his desire to lend a helping hand, he does require a bit of tough love when it comes to motivating him to do his chores. 'I think that what I respond to really well is nagging,' he joked on his podcast, 'New Heights,' which he hosts alongside his brother, Travis Kelce. 'Please nag the f–k outta me. Tell me to get my lazy ass up and take the goddamn trash out. If you tell me to take the trash out, I'm not gonna be like, 'Oh, I can't believe she's telling me to take the trash out.' I'm gonna be like, 'Yeah, you're right.' 'I like the nagging, and I need it because I get caught in my own thoughts and I forget to do things.' Yet he faces an uphill battle in his mission to turn Kylie into a successful nagger, confessing that she's not readily willing to take on that role. 'She's like, 'Jason, I don't wanna tell you to do these things,'' he said. 'And I'm like, 'I get that, but it's not gonna get done unless you tell me to do it.' I am pro-nagging. I think nagging is a great thing to do. 'If you have a spouse that is against nagging of things that he should be doing, you probably got a s—ty husband. He's the issue here, not you telling him to do his f—ing job.' But while Jason requires a bit of nagging in order to do his part in the home, he insisted that he would 'never' ask his wife to lift a finger as far as chores are concerned, noting that she 'does enough' around the house without him adding to her responsibilities. 'I have never, ever—and I will never, ever—tell Kylie to do something around the house,' he said. 'She does enough.' Indeed, Kylie revealed back in December, before giving birth to her fourth daughter, Finnley, that she takes on the lion's share of the childcare in their home—admitting that if she has another commitment, she won't call on Jason to watch their kids but hires professional help instead. 'When I have to do something—coaching, something for Eagles Autism Foundation, something for the podcast, a doctor's appointment, even—I will schedule childcare,' she said during an episode of her own podcast, 'Not Gonna Lie.' However, she went on to insist that this wasn't because she doesn't trust Jason's ability to look after their kids, but rather because she's trying to avoid piling another job onto his already-full plate. 'My husband could tell me 72 times that he is going to be in the house during the times that I have to leave it—I will still schedule childcare. And it is not a knock on my husband, my husband is busier than he has ever been. 'I see him less now in retirement than I did when he was playing football. We had a set schedule then. Now, it is an absolute free-for-all.' Luckily, both Kylie and Jason are able to do a bulk of their work at their $6 million estate—where they record their respective podcasts. And they may soon have even more space in which to do so after Jason submitted plans to the local zoning board in Haverford Township for a fourth dwelling to be built on their sprawling property. Jason and Kylie, who married in 2018, have amassed quite an impressive portfolio of real estate in the upscale Philadelphia suburb of Haverford. Within five years, the duo picked up three adjacent properties to create one giant compound, with reports suggesting that the former NFL star plans to raze the existing structures and build a 'luxury mansion' at the center of the 10-acre estate he has created. He bought the first of the three homes—a four-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom property—for the relatively low sum of $680,000 in 2018. The property came with a three-car garage, a greenhouse, and a custom outdoor pool with waterfalls and a hot tub. A finished basement, complete with a fireplace, shows the familiar background where Jason records his podcast. In 2020, Jason bought an adjoining 8-acre property for $3.96 million, then added a third in 2023 for $1.35 million. However, according to comments he made during a planning meeting in March, he is actually hoping to construct another separate abode—as well as a large security fence that will run around the entirety of the property. Jason cited his family's 'unique' security requirements while making his case to local authorities and expressing his desire to remain in the local neighborhood. 'We want to be in this area, we like this area a lot,' he said, according to local news network WGAL. 'Obviously, things for my family are quite unique with the security purposes. We'd like to just deter a little bit of the foot traffic coming in and out of the home.' Jason added that his plans—which also included the removal of several slopes on the land—were drawn up to ensure that any changes, including the addition of a fence, will adhere to the 'aesthetic of the area.' 'We were trying to put a fence that sufficiently [deters foot traffic], but also appeals to the aesthetic of the area and that people would appreciate,' he said. The couple's portfolio also extends to Philadelphia native Kylie's beloved Jersey Shore. In 2023, they purchased a $2.2 million beachfront property in Sea Isle City, which features wraparound decks, skylights, and gorgeous views of Ludlam Beach. Jason Kelce strips down to tiny speedo for charity event

Jason Kelce's fans may have some more inspiration for risqué tattoos after his latest stunt. The former Philadelphia Eagles star stripped down to just a tiny USA-themed speedo at a charity event in Sea Isle City, NJ, on Wednesday. A photo shared on X from the NFL team's official account showed the retired athlete standing above the crowd in the barely-there swim bottoms. Kelce arrived to the fundraiser in American flag-themed shorts. He then carried a large green beach chair into the center of the crowd. After climbing on the chair and commanding the audience's attention, he dramatically ripped off the shorts to reveal his undergarments. Several attendees were visibly shocked by the display, including multiple women who were seen staring at Kelce in amazement. Kelce, 37, hosted the fifth annual Team 62 at the Ocean Drive celebrity bartending event, which raises funds for the Eagles Autism Foundation. The retired NFL center has pulled similar jaw-dropping stunts at the charity event in his previous years. In 2023, he participated in a beer-drinking contest and wowed the crowd when he chugged 30 ounces of brew in less than six seconds. It appears Kelce is putting his newly acquired sex-symbol status to good use after he making headlines earlier this month for responding to a fan's now-viral pin-up style tattoo in his likeness. Kelce was drawn posing in a kneeling position with his hand behind his head, wearing nothing but cleats, gloves and some padding. However, fans lusting after the married father of four should be warned — his wife, Kylie Kelce, isn't a fan of the drool emoji comments left under his pictures. 'I'm gonna need you to sit down, put your tongues back in your mouth and be respectful. That man is a father to my children,' Kylie chided on last Thursday's episode of her 'Not Gonna Lie' podcast.
