With the first week of the NFL Preseason approaching for the Philadelphia Eagles, the team is dealing with notable injuries in the wide receiver group. AJ Brown is the latest addition.
The star wideout is reportedly dealing with a hamstring injury. While the injury doesn't seem overly concerning at this time, it will be something to monitor as the offseason plays out. After all, hamstring setbacks tend to get tricky.

Brown has been Jalen Hurts' top wideout since he landed with the Eagles via trade in 2022. Brown started his NFL career with the Tennessee Titans, but was traded following his third season.
The Eagles have surely benefited from the presence of Brown, who kicked off his Eagles stint with nearly 1,500 yards and over 10 touchdowns. In 2022, Brown was the top wideout on the NFC Champions, who came up just short against the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl.
Two years ago, Brown had another spectacular season with the Eagles, as he caught a career-high 106 passes. He nearly notched his career-high once again, after posting 1,456 yards. He also found the endzone for seven scores in 17 games.

It showed in Jalen Hurts' passing numbers and in Brown's receiving production as well.
Dealing with injuries at times, Brown appeared in just 13 games for Philadelphia last year. He caught just 67 passes, which was by far his lowest since joining the Eagles.
The star wide receiver still cracked the 1,000-yard mark, but not by much. He reached the endzone for seven touchdowns.
Despite a lack of regular-season production, Brown would shine throughout the playoffs. In four games, he produced a playoff career-high 163 yards and scored twice. One of his touchdowns came in the Super Bowl, where the Eagles dominated the Chiefs, getting their revenge from a couple of seasons ago.
The chances of Brown getting burn in the preseason were likely always going to be slim this season. Since the 28-year-old is well-established at this stage in his career, he doesn't need the meaningless reps before a long season.
Still, the setback is notable. Brown will be a player to keep an eye on in the coming days.
