Egypt Reaffirms Its Unwavering Humanitarian Support for Gaza

Nada Mustafa Badr Abdelatty, Egypt's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration, and Egyptians Abroad, affirmed that Egypt has spared no effort in providing humanitarian and medical aid to the Gaza Strip. He emphasized that 'Egypt's hands are clean' in this matter, highlighting Cairo's continued support since the beginning of the blockade and the systematic starvation policy imposed by Israel on the Palestinian people. In a televised remarks, Abdelatty stated that Egypt continues to deliver aid through all available channels, both by land and air, in an effort to alleviate the humanitarian catastrophe facing the enclave. Moreover, he underscored that the primary legal and humanitarian responsibility lies with the occupying power, which must open all crossings, especially the five that connect it directly to Gaza, in addition to the Palestinian side of the Rafah crossing. FM further stressed that Israel must lift all restrictions imposed on the entry of humanitarian and medical aid, which directly exacerbate the crisis, describing these practices as a 'systematic starvation policy.' Abdelataty added, 'I reiterate that anyone who questions or downplays Egypt's role, whether intentionally or not, is ultimately contributing to easing the pressure and responsibility on the real party behind the catastrophe: Israel, as the occupying power.' He concluded by affirming Egypt's hope to host the 'Early Recovery and Reconstruction Conference' as soon as a ceasefire agreement is reached, reaffirming Egypt's continued support for the Palestinian people. read more Gold prices rise, 21 Karat at EGP 3685 NATO's Role in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict US Expresses 'Strong Opposition' to New Turkish Military Operation in Syria Shoukry Meets Director-General of FAO Lavrov: confrontation bet. nuclear powers must be avoided News Iran Summons French Ambassador over Foreign Minister Remarks News Aboul Gheit Condemns Israeli Escalation in West Bank News Greek PM: Athens Plays Key Role in Improving Energy Security in Region News One Person Injured in Explosion at Ukrainian Embassy in Madrid News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier News Ayat Khaddoura's Final Video Captures Bombardment of Beit Lahia Business Egyptian Pound Undervalued by 30%, Says Goldman Sachs Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle Arts & Culture Lebanese Media: Fayrouz Collapses after Death of Ziad Rahbani Sports Get to Know 2025 WWE Evolution Results

OPEN// FM: Egypt will not accept undermining Palestinian cause through forced displacement schemes

CAIRO, July 29 (MENA) – Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty reaffirmed that Egypt categorically rejects any attempts to undermine the Palestinian cause through forced displacement plans. His remarks came during a meeting with Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa, held on the sidelines of the high-level international conference on the peaceful solution to the Palestinians issue and the implementation of the two-state solution, currently taking place at the United Nations headquarters in New York. Abdelatty reaffirmed Egypt's continued efforts to mediate a ceasefire and facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza, amid the worsening humanitarian catastrophe in the Strip. The two sides discussed the next steps toward implementing the early recovery and reconstruction plan for Gaza following a ceasefire, including the Early Recovery and Reconstruction Conference that Egypt plans to host. They also reviewed the situation in the West Bank in light of ongoing military raids and repeated Israeli violations in cities and refugee camps. Abdelatty strongly condemned the continued expansion of Israeli settlements in the West Bank. The meeting also addressed the repercussions of Israeli measures to close schools and hospitals operated by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) in Al Quds (occupied East Jerusalem). Abdelatty underscored Egypt's full support for UNRWA's vital and irreplaceable role. He expressed hope that the momentum generated by the peace conference would contribute to accelerating international recognition of the State of Palestine, commending French President Emmanuel Macron's announcement of his country's intention to recognize Palestinian statehood. Abdelatty asserted Egypt's steadfast support for the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, topped by the right to self-determination and the establishment of an independent state along the June 4, 1967 borders, with Al Quds (occupied East Jerusalem as its capital. In this context, he reviewed the arrangements Egypt is making to host the Early Recovery and Reconstruction Conference in Gaza immediately after a ceasefire agreement is reached. The Foreign Minister stressed that creating a political horizon to achieve a just and sustainable settlement of the Palestinian issue and restore the Palestinian people's legitimate rights, including their right to self-determination and the establishment of their independent state on the June 4, 1967 lines with East Jerusalem as its capital, represents the cornerstone of peace and stability for all peoples of the region. Both ministers also addressed the need to consolidate the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Iran.
