Man charged and NAMED as man remains in hospital in 'serious condition' after assault
A man has been charged and named following a 'serious assault' which has left a man aged in his 50s in hospital.
The incident, which prompted a major emergency response including an air ambulance, happened on Thursday (June 26) morning.
Thames Valley Police were called at 11.47am to a report a man in his 50s had been 'seriously assaulted' on Lovegrove Avenue in East Challow, near Wantage.

The man remains in hospital in a 'serious condition'.
On Friday (June 27) the police force said that a 33-year-old man had been arrested in connection with the incident.
He has since been charged with section 18 grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place and named as Adam David Short or Mably Grove, Wantage.
He has been remanded into custody and will next appear at Oxford Crown Court on Friday, July 25.
