Governor-elect Dr. Otis R. Bowen and Mrs. Bowen outside the Governor's mansion at 4343 N. Meridian Street November 9, 1972. The Governor and his family were planning on moving in in January 1973. It was estimated that it would take $25,00 to make the residence livable again. Gov. Edgar D. Whitcomb chose not to live there during his administration.

More than 1,000 youngsters scrambled for 3,600 eggs in the hunt sponsored by Crossroads Rehabilitation Center, which was the highlight of the 1968 Easter Seal Campaign."
