Falcons sign QB Ben DiNucci to replace injured Emory Jones for final preseason game at Dallas
FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. — The Atlanta Falcons signed quarterback Ben DiNucci on Monday to provide depth for Friday's final preseason game at Dallas. The Falcons needed help at quarterback after Emory Jones, competing with Easton Stick for the No. 3 job, was hurt in last week's 23-20 loss to Tennessee . Jones was placed in concussion protocol and waived/injured on Monday.

Falcons undrafted free agent rushes for 43-yard TD vs. Titans
After an uneventful first half, the Atlanta Falcons have turned things around in the second half of their preseason matchup against the Tennessee Titans. Not only did the offense break off a huge touchdown run, but the kickoff team also managed to force a fumble on the ensuing kickoff. Undrafted free agent Nate Carter bounced back from a slow night to break off the 43-yard touchdown in the third quarter. Tight end Teagan Quitoriano recovered the fumble and wide receiver Chris Blair hauled in a 53-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Easton Stick. Just like that, the Falcons tied the game with the Titans at 20. The team scored 17 points in the third quarter after putting up just six points in the first half. Falcons QBs Michael Penix Jr., Kirk Cousins to sit another preseason game
August 12 - Easton Stick and Emory Jones are in line for the majority of the snaps for the Falcons when Atlanta plays the Tennessee Titans on Friday night. Michael Penix Jr. is the starter when the regular season opens and head coach Raheem Morris declared he would not play his second-year quarterback this week. A decision on No. 2 quarterback Kirk Cousins wasn't final but Atlanta is unlikely to play him in the game after multiple days of joint practices at the team's Flowery Branch facility this week. Last week, Cousins dressed -- Penix didn't -- but wasn't used in the Falcons' preseason opener. Stick was strong in that game against the Detroit Lions last week, completing 15 of his 18 passes for 149 yards and a touchdown in the first half. Jones completed 4 of 5 passes and rushed for nine yards before the game was suspended in the fourth quarter due to an injury to Lions safety Morice Norris. The Falcons kick off the regular season on Sept. 7 in Atlanta with a visit from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The preseason finale is Aug. 22 at Dallas. --Field Level Media
