BBC bosses last year announced that two new seasons of the hit noughties programme will be screened in 2026. Several other actors, including Kim Tserkezie and Juliet Cadzow, will also appear when the revamped series airs on CBeebies and BBC iPlayer. But Juliet could have a different role this time around when the series hits TV screens. The 74-year-old played Edie McCredie in the popular children's television programme from 2002 to 2005. She was one of the main cast members and was the driver and mechanic of the Yellow Daisy bus. But this time around, Edie could be doing something very different. Wonderful to be back on Mull filming Balamory Juliet Cadzow Snaps shared on Instagram appear to show Juliet driving a boat while filming on Tobermory on the Isle of Mull for the last two weeks. She was dressed in a blue outfit, which was Edie's favourite colour, and which also looked a little like a delivery costume. She was also spotted on a yellow and blue boat, which was called Sea Dasher, with Edie McCredie written on a sign on the front alongside an icon of a little open parcel. Tobermory Bay Tours shared photos on social media of Juliet filming on the boat alongside Andrew Agnew. Balamory actor in major career change that is worlds away from the popular noughties BBC kids show The post, on Instagram, said: "A few more behind-the-scenes antics from yesterday with the Balamory crew. "You'll have to wait until next year to find out what pc plum has spotted through the binoculars. "Who's going to be tuning in to watch?" They also shared a video of one of their staff on the bright yellow boat and teased that it was actually their vessel Twilight that was used for Sea Dasher. Tobermory Bay Tours posted yesterday: "Today has definitely been one of a kind! "It's not every day you get to be a 'stunt' double, but Twilight stole the show starring as Edie McCredie's boat, Sea Dasher." Juliet shared her own snaps from her time on Mull for the filming of the reboot show. Posting on Instagram, she said: "Wonderful to be back on Mull filming Balamory". Fans flocked to the comments to share their excitement at the new reboot. One person said: "Wonderful! Cannot wait for another generation of people to love this". Another added: "This is amazing!!! Can't wait for my kids to watch it". Someone else wrote: "Really happy there is another series of ballamory. You all do an amazing job, and can't wait to see the new version of it. Well done Julie". CAST REVEALED THE cast for the upcoming reboot was revealed last month, and fans were instantly excited. However, many spotted that original cast member Rodd Christensen was missing from the line-up. Rodd, from Las Vegas, played Spencer the Painter in the popular children's television programme from 2002 to 2005. One viewer wrote: "Why isn't Spencer (Rodd Christensen) in these photos? Is he going to be in the show?" A third added: "My kids absolutely loved Spencer, we're gutted he's not coming back." Another said: "Will Spencer be a part of the reboot?" Rodd, who now lives in Las Vegas with his family, explained to a fan on Instagram that he would not be involved at this time. He said: "I would've loved to, but I won't be a part of this reboot at this moment." But the new series is set to blend familiar faces with a host of new characters, offering preschoolers a 'joyful mix of stories, comedy, songs and adventures'. Brand new characters include scientist and inventor Ava Potts, played by Danielle Jam, local vet Dr Ollie Carl Spencer, who lives with his two children and the Harbour Master, played by William Andrews. At its heart remains the charming fictional town of Balamory and its lively inhabitants, where brightly-coloured houses cluster around a scenic harbour and life revolves around the nursery school and its caring teacher. And a fourth shared: "I'm really happy to hear that Balamory will make a comeback next year, Juliet!" While a fifth chimed in: "This is very exciting!" Filming will take place both in the studio in Glasgow and on location in Tobermory. The real-life Isle of Mull town inspired the show's iconic setting. Kate Morton, Head of Commissioning BBC Children's and Education, said: "It's wonderful to see some of the original cast returning alongside new faces, creating a perfect mix of nostalgia and discovery for families to enjoy together. "This vibrant new series will delight both children and the grown-ups who remember it fondly." The original Balamory was also shown in Australia, Canada, the US and Hong Kong. 8 Balamory is being filmed in Tobermory, on the Isle of Mull, as well as the studio in Glasgow Credit: Alamy 8 Juliet shared snaps of her time in Mull with fans on Instagram Credit: @JulietCadzow / Instagram 8 The show originally ran from 2002 until 2005 Credit: BBC
