Student programme to instil national values
NIZWA: The activities of the 2025 Student Summer Programme, titled 'My Summer: Connection and Growth", were launched on Sunday at the Directorate-General of Education in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate.
The programme includes the participation of 400 male and female students across four summer centres in several wilayats of the governorate and will run until July 17.
The programme aims to develop students' skills, nurture their talents, enhance their cognitive and intellectual abilities, and promote scientific and creative thinking.
It also seeks to help them make productive use of their free time, instil national and cultural values, and strengthen ties between educational institutions and the local community.
The programme was also launched in Al Buraimi. The initiative seeks to instil ethical and social values while strengthening national identity and cooperative spirit.
Dr Khalid bin Mohammed al Shabibi, Head of Educational Activities Department, emphasised that the summer programme brings together students of various ages – including talented and high-achieving individuals – across multiple domains: cultural, volunteer, vocational, entrepreneurial, athletic and value-based activities.
"This creates valuable opportunities to equip participants with essential skills and nurture their potential in nation-building," he stated.
This year's edition features 150 students distributed across four centres in the wilayats of Al Buraimi and Mahadha, with separate facilities for males and females in each location. - ONA
