Omani official to MENA: Egyptian-Omani relations deeply-rooted, close in all domains
CAIRO, Jan 26 (MENA) - Director of External Media at Oman's Ministry of Information Sheikha bint Ahmed al Mahrouqi Sunday affirmed that the relations between Egypt and the Sultanate of Oman are strong and deeply-rooted in all domains.
Mahrouqi, in statements to MENA on the sidelines of her participation in the 56th edition of Cairo International Book Fair, said that Oman is honored to participate in the fair that is deemed one of the oldest and most prestigious book fairs in the region.
"Though Oman is participating as a guest of honor in the fair, the Sultanate never feels like a guest in Egypt. The relationship between the two countries can be described as unparalleled," the Omani official said.
Egyptian-Omani relations are gaining momentum and strength, Mahrouqi said, highlighting the exchanged visits between President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and Sultan Haitham bin Tariq and their spouses.
She added that Oman's participation aims to enhance cultural and knowledge exchange by introducing the Omani cultural heritage through publications, seminars, and dialogue sessions as well as musical performances that highlight progress achieved by Oman under the leadership of Sultan Bin Tariq.
