Sisi, Omani Sultan Discuss Efforts to Halt Escalation Btw Iran, Israel
Nada Mustafa President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi held a phone call today with Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said, Sultan of Oman. The call focused on regional developments. President El-Sisi stressed the importance of halting the ongoing escalation between Israel and Iran, warning of the grave consequences of an expanding conflict in the region. He emphasized the need to return to the negotiating table to prevent further bloodshed and commended Oman's role in mediating between Iran and the United States. In this regard, Sisi highlighted the importance of reviving and reinforcing the diplomatic track to spare the region from the devastation of war. For his part, Sultan Haitham praised Egypt's efforts to de-escalate regional violence and affirmed Oman's commitment to joint action in this regard. Moreover, both leaders underlined the urgency of achieving a ceasefire in Gaza and ensuring the delivery of humanitarian aid to alleviate the severe crisis faced by its residents due to the Israeli aggression. They reaffirmed that the establishment of an independent Palestinian state is the fundamental guarantee for lasting stability in the Middle East. Egypt's President, Oman's Sultan discuss de-escalating Iran-Israel conflict
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi and Oman's Sultan Haitham bin Tariq discussed regional developments in a phone call on Tuesday, with Sisi stressing the importance of halting the current escalation between Israel and Iran, the Egyptian presidency said. A statement from the presidency spokesman said Al-Sisi warned of the serious consequences of expanding the circle of conflict in the region and emphasised the need to return to negotiations to prevent bloodshed. The president also praised Oman's role in mediating between Iran and the United States, affirming the need to restore and strengthen the negotiation process to spare the region from war. For his part, the Sultan of Oman commended Egypt's efforts to stop violence in the region and affirmed his country's keenness to work jointly on the matter. Egyptian Presidency spokesperson Mohamed El-Shennawy added that both leaders stressed the priority of working towards a ceasefire in Gaza and ensuring the delivery of humanitarian aid to the enclave 'to save its people from the humanitarian tragedy they are facing due to the Israeli aggression.' They also stressed that the establishment of an independent Palestinian state is the fundamental guarantee for sustainable stability in the Middle East. The spokesperson added that the two leaders affirmed the depth of Egyptian-Omani relations and their keenness to advance joint work in various fields, in line with the historical ties between the two countries.

Omani official to MENA: Egyptian-Omani relations deeply-rooted, close in all domains
CAIRO, Jan 26 (MENA) - Director of External Media at Oman's Ministry of Information Sheikha bint Ahmed al Mahrouqi Sunday affirmed that the relations between Egypt and the Sultanate of Oman are strong and deeply-rooted in all domains. Mahrouqi, in statements to MENA on the sidelines of her participation in the 56th edition of Cairo International Book Fair, said that Oman is honored to participate in the fair that is deemed one of the oldest and most prestigious book fairs in the region. "Though Oman is participating as a guest of honor in the fair, the Sultanate never feels like a guest in Egypt. The relationship between the two countries can be described as unparalleled," the Omani official said. Egyptian-Omani relations are gaining momentum and strength, Mahrouqi said, highlighting the exchanged visits between President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and Sultan Haitham bin Tariq and their spouses. She added that Oman's participation aims to enhance cultural and knowledge exchange by introducing the Omani cultural heritage through publications, seminars, and dialogue sessions as well as musical performances that highlight progress achieved by Oman under the leadership of Sultan Bin Tariq. As many as 1,345 publishing houses and 6,150 exhibitors from 80 Arab and foreign countries are taking part in the 56th edition of Cairo International Book Fair, which runs till February 5. The Sultanate of Oman is this year's guest of honor. First timers, including Chile, Belgium, Congo, Bulgaria, Austria and other countries are participating in this edition of the fair. Egyptian scientist, Ahmed Mostageer, was chosen as the fair's personality and writer Fatima el-Maadoul as the children's fair personality.
