Media Delegations from US & UK Visit Cairo & Sharm El-Sheikh
ali abo deshish The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, represented by the Egyptian Tourism Promotion Authority, hosted a visit for prominent media representatives from the United Kingdom and the United States. The visit included tours of key tourist and archaeological landmarks in Cairo and Sharm El-Sheikh. Moreover, the ministry welcomed the production team of the popular Chinese TV show Divas Hit the Road, currently filming its new season at various tourist attractions in Cairo, Giza, and Luxor. In this context, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Sherif Fathy, emphasized that such initiatives align with the ministry's broader marketing strategy, which aims to promote Egypt as a rich and multifaceted destination capable of attracting a wide variety of tourists from all over the world. He added that trips like these offer an opportunity to closely experience the most prominent tourism assets and the unique experiences Egypt has to offer. Meanwhile, Ahmed Youssef, Assistant Minister for Strategic Affairs and Acting CEO of the Egyptian Tourism Promotion Authority, stated that this visit marks an important step in enhancing Egypt's positive image, particularly in the American and British markets, two of Egypt's key tourism targets. American Influencers Discover Egypt's Rich Heritage, Tourist Diversity
Ali abo deshish A group of American bloggers and social media influencers has completed a familiarization trip across Egypt, exploring its cultural treasures and natural beauty. Organized by Egypt's Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities through the Egyptian Tourism Promotion Authority, in collaboration with the American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt, the initiative aimed to promote Egypt as a prime travel destination through social media engagement and digital storytelling. During their journey, the influencers visited some of Egypt's most iconic sites. In Cairo and Giza, they explored the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization, the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir, and the Grand Egyptian Museum. In Luxor, the group toured Karnak Temple, Luxor Temple, and the Valley of the Kings, gaining a deeper understanding of the country's ancient legacy. The final leg of their visit took them to Hurghada, where they enjoyed Egypt's vibrant marine life, clear waters, and various recreational and adventure activities along the Red Sea coast. The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, represented by the Egyptian Tourism Promotion Authority, launched a promotional campaign for Egyptian tourism titled 'Unmatched Diversity' during the 32nd Arabian Travel Market (ATM 2025), which was held in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, until May 1. The campaign advertised Egypt as a tourism destination through a variety of promotional materials, including banners and electronic displays featuring images and short videos highlighting the diversity of Egypt's unique tourism offerings. The campaign utilized a variety of promotional materials, including banners and electronic screens featuring images and short videos highlighting the diverse features, styles, and unique tourism products. A giant screen was placed above the main entrance of the exhibition, dedicated to promoting the Grand Egyptian Museum, scheduled to open on July 3. The display featured a short film about the museum, its location, and its most prominent artifacts. Another small screen was also placed in the main hall of the exhibition, alongside advertising panels in various strategic locations within the exhibition. These were in areas that attracted a large number of visitors, such as the main corridor leading to the various halls of the exhibition, particularly areas far from the participating Egyptian pavilion, in addition to advertising materials located in front of the hall that housed Egypt's pavilion. Egypt boosts it tourism presence Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Sherif Fathy said that this promotional campaign aims to bolster Egypt's presence at international tourism exhibitions by capitalizing on the large turnout witnessed at the event. He noted that the ministry was eager to launch the campaign both within and outside the exhibition, seeking to further promote Egypt and expand its reach to the largest possible number of visitors globally. Fathy added that the campaign aims to highlight and introduce visitors to the diversity and richness of Egypt's tourist destinations. This aligns with the ministry's current vision, which focuses on highlighting the unparalleled diversity of Egyptian tourist destinations in the world. The minister emphasized that Egypt's tourist destination has much to explore and offers numerous tourism products to offer visitors. Fathy visited Dubai to participate in the exhibition's activities, in addition to holding a series of meetings to discuss ways to boost inbound tourism to Egypt from target markets, particularly the Arab market and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, especially with the start of the summer tourism season.
