How Cops Found Out Pakistani Actor Humaira Asghar Died 9 Months Ago, What Karachi Neighbours Said

New Delhi: Pakistani actor Humaira Asghar Ali was found dead in her Karachi apartment on Tuesday, and investigators now believe she may have died nearly nine months ago, in October 2024. Humaira Asghar's Body Found After Landlord's Complaint The discovery came after her landlord filed a complaint over unpaid rent, prompting police to enter the apartment, where they found her body in an "advanced stage of decomposition." The timeline of her death has been pieced together through various details. Karachi Police Surgeon Dr. Summaiya Syed, who conducted the post-mortem, confirmed the advanced decomposition, supporting the theory that she died several months ago. Last Call Was Made In October Deputy Inspector General of Police Syed Asad Raza told Arab News, "As per Call Detail Record (CDR) the last call was made in October 2024." Neighbours also reported last seeing her around September or October. Electricity Was Cut Off Officials added that her electricity was disconnected in October 2024 due to non-payment, and there were no backup power sources in the apartment. "Humaira's body is likely nine months old. She probably died between paying her last utility bills and when her electricity was disconnected in October 2024, probably due to non-payment of the bill," an official said, also noting that there were no candles in the home. Karachi Neighbours Didn't Notice Anything The only other apartment on Humaira Asghar's floor was unoccupied, so neighbours didn't notice any odour. A DNA test was conducted as the body was severely decomposed and not visually identifiable. "We have come here and after fulfilling all the legal requirements, have received the dead body," Naveed said. He revealed that Humaira had moved from Lahore to Karachi about seven years ago and had grown distant from the family. She had not visited them for nearly a year and a half. "That is why my father said that if there is any emergency, then you can bury her there [in Karachi]," he said, explaining the family's earlier reluctance. Pakistani actress Humaira Asghar dies alone, father refuses funeral rites: 'Do whatever you want with her body'

In a devastating turn of events, Pakistani actress Humaira Asghar was recently found dead inside her residence in Karachi. The 32-year-old had reportedly passed away weeks ago, alone and unnoticed, with her body discovered in a decomposed state. Her tragic end has sparked a wave of grief across the entertainment world and among her fans. The lonely end for Humaira Asghar What has added even more heartbreak to this already tragic story is the alleged reaction of her own family. When police tried to contact her father after retrieving numbers from her call records, the response they received was shockingly indifferent. Dr. Asghar Ali, a retired army doctor, reportedly told authorities that the family had cut ties with Humaira years ago and that they should 'do whatever they want with her body' because they would not accept it. Family's refusal for the last rites This statement, if true, has left the public stunned. To be disowned in life is one tragedy, but to be disowned even in death, with no one willing to claim her remains, is something far more devastating. According to reports, Humaira had been living alone in her flat in Karachi for the past seven years. Neighbours say she kept to herself. In recent months, she had reportedly stopped paying her rent altogether. The landlord had taken legal action, and it was during an attempt to serve a court notice that authorities grew suspicious after receiving no response at her door. When the police forced their way into the apartment, they were met with a heartbreaking scene, the lifeless body of the actress lying in severe decomposition, with no one around her, no one aware. Humaira Asghar's professional front Despite her professional accomplishments, with known roles in projects like Tamasha Ghar, Ehsaan Faramosh, Guru, and Chal Dil Mere, her final chapter was not one of respect or remembrance, but of rejection. Police officials have stated that they will make one final attempt to persuade her father to accept responsibility for her burial. If he refuses again, she will be buried as an heirless body. Humaira Asghar's story is now a haunting reminder of how loneliness, estrangement, and mental health remain silent battles, even for those in the spotlight.

The Pakistani entertainment industry was left in shock following the tragic news of actor and model Humaira Asghar Ali's passing. Gizri Police confirmed on Tuesday that the 35-year-old's body was discovered in her Karachi apartment, where it had likely remained for nearly 20 days. The grim discovery was made when her landlord, accompanied by a court bailiff and police officers, arrived to execute a court-ordered eviction due to non-payment of rent. Initial assessment suggests natural causes, but the exact cause of death will be determined after the autopsy. The flat has since been sealed, and the investigation remains ongoing.
