St Dogmaels gears up for a week-long festival of events
St Dogmaels is gearing up for its annual festival week, running from July 12 to July 20.
Each day, various local groups, businesses, and organisations will host public events, with a grand festival day on July 19.
The fun kicks off on Saturday, July 12, with a football tournament, followed by a gentle cycle ride and a male choir performance at the Abbey Grounds on Sunday, July 13.
Monday, July 14, features an Eisteddfod y Gân 2026 Awareness Walk, a coffee afternoon, and bingo.
The festivities continue on Tuesday, July 15, with a market, the Llais yr Afon Project, a tour of the Abbey, Mill tours and a festival pub quiz.
There is also 2.5km runs on Poppit Sands.
Wednesday, July 16, offers a school map and navigation event, a gaming/agility session, and poems on paths, among other activities.
Thursday, July 17, sees a footpath association walk, afternoon tea, and a folk night at the White Hart Inn.
Friday, July 18, features an open day at the allotments and more poetry.
Festival day on Saturday, July 19, promises a parade and family events, live music, crafts, and refreshments.
The festival concludes on Sunday, July 20, with a women's five-a-side tournament and a Songs of Praise session at the Abbey Grounds.
The festival, organised by St. Dogmaels Community Council, promises a variety of events for everyone to enjoy, from sports and music to food and crafts.
