Father of Hamas captive scolds Netanyahu
Father of Eitan Horn, an 'Israeli' captive still held by Hamas in the Gaza Strip, rebuked Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for not undertaking the second phase of the Gaza ceasefire, which would see the release of the rest of 'Israeli' captives. 'This is the 526th day that 59 hostages have been held in the hell of Gaza,' Itzik Horn said to the press, standing alongside relatives of other captives in Tel Aviv – per statements cited by Hebrew media. 'I came here today while recovering from surgery to hold up a mirror to Netanyahu. This mirror reflects the terrible results of Netanyahu's selection method. 'The prime minister of the Jews is abandoning Jews who are undergoing a Holocaust. Netanyahu, look me in the eyes… We demand that you immediately end the war and bring back everyone all at once, and now.' Itzik other's son, Iair, was released from captivity during the first phase of the Gaza truce, which ended two weeks ago.

Israeli demonstrators demand 'all' hostages be freed
Thousands of demonstrators in numerous Israeli cities have called for a continuation of the ceasefire in the Gaza war and the release of more hostages. As the first phase of the ceasefire agreement between Israel and the Hamas came to an end on Saturday, people gathered in Tel Aviv, Haifa and other cities. In Tel Aviv, activists sat on a street wearing iron chains and masks with the faces of hostages held in the Gaza Strip since October 2023. On the ground they had scrawled the demand in Hebrew for the release of the remaining hostages: "All of them." There are currently 59 hostages in the hands of Islamists in the Gaza Strip. Of these, only 24 are said to be alive. In a video message, Russian-Israeli citizen Alexander Trufanov, who was released from captivity two weeks ago, said: "I think every day of the hostages who are still there." "It accompanies me every hour, every minute of the day." "Do not let the feelings of revenge, anger and rage stand above the values of unity, brotherhood and the sanctity of human life," Trufanov urged. An extension of the first phase of the ceasefire agreement sought by Israel, with the release of more hostages in return for Palestinian prisoners, has been denied by Hamas. Israeli officials classify such videos as psychological warfare by Hamas, and it is believed the footage was filmed under duress. In the video, Eitan Horn addresses Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, telling him to sign onto the second phase of the hostage deal.

Hamas official says the militant group will release three hostages on Saturday
Iair Horn, 46, is an Argentine Israeli who was also kidnapped from his home in kibbutz Nir Oz along with his brother Eitan Horn, 38, who remains in captivity. Sasha Alexander Troufanov, 29, is a Russian Israeli who was abducted along with his family in kibbutz Nir Oz. His father was murdered in captivity, while his female relatives were released last November. Troufanov will be freed separately by the Iranian-backed Islamic Jihad, the group said Friday. Hamas' announcement comes after it reversed its previous warning Thursday that it would indefinitely postpone hostage-prisoner swaps over Israeli violations of the truce, after holding talks with Egyptian and Qatari mediators on Wednesday. Under the first phase of the deal, due to last 42 days, Hamas has incrementally released 16 of 33 hostages. During the Hamas-led terror attack on Oct. 7, 2023, 1,200 people were killed and 251 captured, according to Israeli officials.
