Shah Rukh Khan's Om Shanti Om fire scene was shot at a location that was ‘destroyed' in fire itself, reveals Anand Mahindra
Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone's Om Shanti Om remains a fan favourite, even nearly two decades after its release. A scene in which Om tries to save Shantipriya from being engulfed by flames on set was shot at Mumbai's Mukesh Mills. The mill has a spooky reputation, with several film industry perosnalities recalling stories. The chairperson of Mahindra and Mahindra, Anand Mahindra, Anupam Thareja and Boman Rustomji Irani. recently graced the stage for the launch of new 2025 Yezdi Roadster motorcycle at the Mukesh Mills. At the event, Anand Mahindra said. 'What I love about this is… I think most of you know that this was very intricately linked to Om Shanti Om. This is where Shah Rukh chose to film it. And there was very good reason, maybe even he was inspired by the history of this plot which suffered a fire and was destroyed, and that was a part of the plot. So, the plot of Om Shanti Om in fact involved fire and reincarnation,' he said. He also recalled that the superstar even used the Yezdi in his 1994 hit film Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa. 'And frankly, that's exactly what we are here to do. I am sure Shah Rukh is going to be happy because he used the Yezdi in one of his earliest films Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa. He really likes this brand,' Anand added. 'No VFX was used around that time, so we had to light the fire on that set. It had Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, three camerapersons, and around 60 members of my unit inside the set. So, there were a total of 100 people inside the set that was on fire,' he shared in Punjabi. He added, 'I was immensely stressed out during that shoot, I don't know how to explain it because one had to be careful. One had to make sure to put off the fire within seconds of lighting it. If someone commits a mistake anywhere, it could end on a disastrous note. I swear by God, there were so many times I'd go to the side and start crying on set. I felt I'd have a heart attack.' Om Shanti Om was directed by Farah Khan and hit the big screens in 2007. The movie also marked the acting debut of Deepika Padukone. Besides Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika, the film also featured Shreyas Talpade, Arjun Rampal, and Kirron Kher in pivotal roles.

Yuvika Chaudhary reveals doctor told her ‘you can't have babies', panicked actor told husband Prince Narula to plan baby ‘right now'
Actor Yuvika Chaudhary and Prince Narula had their first child together, baby girl Ekleen, in October last year. However, the process was challenging for her as she underwent egg freezing for three years before successfully conceiving through IVF in the first trial. During a recent interview with Nayandeep Rakshith, Yuvika opened up about the difficulties and spoke about the moment the couple got blessed as parents. Prince and Yuvika, who got married in 2018, embraced parenthood after seven years of marriage. When asked if there was any pressure from either of the families, she replied, 'My parents never pressurised us. They just wanted us to have a child, whenever we want. But now, they all want us to have have one more kid. More than anyone else, Prince says that there should be one sibling.' The Om Shanti Om actor was initially unaware about the process of In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF). 'I didn't know what IVF was, got to know about it in someone's interview. Either it was lack of knowledge or I never took interest in this part of life. While I was exploring my options to freeze eggs, I visited a doctor and she scared me and said, 'You can't have babies'. She must have thought that she can make some business from me,' she revealed. I started the egg freezing process and they took signatures that after anesthesia, we don't take guarantee if you will wake up normal or not. Because I was weak, Prince asked to cancel, he said I am more important to him than having a baby.' The duo then decided to change their doctor. 'We switched doctors and she boosted my confidence to try for a baby and get my eggs frozen. I told my doctor that this is my first and last trial. They put so many injections during this process. I would try naturally as well, but maybe it was a nazar thing that whenever it was our ovulation period, one of us had to travel,' she shared. Everything went by smoothly and Yuvika's first IVF trial was successful. 'My first IVF trial worked for me. When the doctor transferred my embryo, I looked at her, hugged her, and said, 'Congratulations, I will be pregnant'. She was nervous, but I was confident, I had faith. I got to know within a week that I am pregnant. She asked me to go on bed rest, but I was making reels with Prince, we didn't know that I was pregnant,' she said. 'Home test didn't have anything twice, but the blood test revealed that I was pregnant. Prince got the result news first and he revealed it to me. He said, 'We are pregnant', with tears in his eyes. I couldn't believe, I was numb. We told our parents immediately, we both were crying,' the actor concluded.
