Not many folks know about this prime firework-watching spot in the CBD. Casual Mexican joint El Chido sits on the rooftop of Pullman Singapore Hill Street, and is possibly the closest thing to a beach club that you can get in the heart of the city. The swim-up bar lets you place your orders from the pool itself, and this National Day, you can even catch the dazzling fireworks display while at it. Every Saturday from now till August 9, guests can visit the pool from 5pm onwards with a $25 entrance fee that includes a welcome drink. Then, munch on delights like chicken rice chimichanga or the breaded fish otah tortilla served with green papaya salad – crowd-favourite menu items that are back by popular demand this year.
