The masked superstar took on AJ Styles and CM Punk in a Men's Money in the Bank triple threat qualifying match. Advertisement The internet wrestling community couldn't help but notice the boots Americano wore in the triple threat match looked eerily similar to Chad Gable's footwear. This was evidenced by the CG initials imprinted on them. X user @AdamGoldberg28 posted two screengrabs from the match that showed a close-up of the boots. The person even tagged RAW General Manager Adam Pearce with a hilarious caption. Check out the post below: Chad Gable comes to El Grande Americano's defense It appears Chad Gable's awareness isn't limited to the squared circle. The former Olympian quickly reacted to the latest social media debacle on Americano's identity. Gable also wished the veteran luchadore luck ahead of this Saturday's Money in the Bank PLE. Advertisement Gable said he lent Americano his boots because 'the airlines lost his' before the triple threat match against CM Punk and AJ Styles. Excl: Was it a good idea to put El Grande Americano, not CM Punk, in the WWE Money in the Bank match 2025? Expert weighs in

El Grande Americano beat CM Punk and AJ Styles in the main event of WWE Raw on June 2 to qualify for the Money in the Bank match 2025. This took many by surprise as they expected 'The Second City Saint' to punch his ticket for the marquee match. In an exclusive interview with Indiatimes, veteran writer Vince Russo weighed in on the situation . Vince Russo weighs in on El Grande Americano being in the Money in the Bank match El Grande Americano is set to lock horns with the likes of Seth Rollins and Solo Sikoa in the Money in Bank 2025 match on June 7. The 'legendary luchador' outlasted Styles and Punk in a controversial triple threat match on the red brand, which saw outside interference from the 'Paul Heyman guys'. According to writer Vince Russo, who is known for his work in WWE and WCW, CM Punk was his pick to secure the last spot in the match as he is a big star. 'El Grande Americano is Entertaining, but I think the match could use more star power and that's why I would have put CM Punk into the match,' he said. He, however, admitted that Americano is 'entertaining' and can pull off some high risk spots in the Money in the Bank Ladder match. This, according to him, makes him a good pick for the contest. 'With a Ladder Match they need High Spots for the Pops, so that's why Americano is in it,'added russo Interestingly, many in the WWE feel that Americano is actually Chad Gable under a mask. The American Made member is set to compete against Vikingo at World's Collide, which takes place on the same day as Money in the Bank. How did El Grande Americano fare at WrestleMania 41? Americano has emerged as a prominent member of the roster in no time. He scored a win over Rey Fenix (who was substituting for an injured Rey Mysterio) at WrestleMania 41, adding a new dimension to his career.
