The internet wrestling community couldn't help but notice the boots Americano wore in the triple threat match looked eerily similar to Chad Gable's footwear. This was evidenced by the CG initials imprinted on them.
X user @AdamGoldberg28 posted two screengrabs from the match that showed a close-up of the boots. The person even tagged RAW General Manager Adam Pearce with a hilarious caption. Check out the post below:
Chad Gable comes to El Grande Americano's defense
It appears Chad Gable's awareness isn't limited to the squared circle. The former Olympian quickly reacted to the latest social media debacle on Americano's identity. Gable also wished the veteran luchadore luck ahead of this Saturday's Money in the Bank PLE.

Gable said he lent Americano his boots because 'the airlines lost his' before the triple threat match against CM Punk and AJ Styles. Americano would go on to win the match after catching Styles with a loaded headbutt shot.
The full Men's Money in the Bank lineup features Solo Sikoa, LA Knight, Penta, Seth Rollins, Andrade, and El Grande Americano.
WrestleZone will have full coverage of the PLE when it airs on June 7. Catch up on everything that went down on WWE RAW here.

Michael Phelps Responds to Baltimore Ravens Viral Callout
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. The Baltimore Ravens have caught the attention of 23-time gold medal Olympian Michael Phelps. The team put together a unique video that showcases the team attempting some synchronized swimming. More news: Bills DC Has Bold Message for All-Pro LB Matt Milano With many of the Ravens players in the team's aquatic facility, they all make an admission that one of three players on the team does not know how to swim. They then ask Phelps if he would help them. Per the video, the players take turns asking for help from the most decorated Olympian. One by one, Ravens players take turns saying one line of their ask for Phelps to teach the team how to swim. MARTIN BUREAU/AFP/Getty Images More news: Steelers' Defensive Line Decimated With Three Player Injuries "Hey, Mr. Phelps, we have a problem." "Did you know that one-in-three Ravens cannot swim." "We have a solution for you, sir." "Come to Ravens training camp, in this beautiful aquatic facility, and teach us how to swim." Phelps responded to the callout with, "I got yall!!! Let's do it!!" To the Ravens' credit, this was an inventive video to not only host the greatest American Olympian, but also to learn how to swim. Swimming is also a great way for players to work out their cardio, as taking laps in a pool works out legs, arms, and so much more. Though the above video also only showcases a quick look at the aquatic center, it does look like the right kind of facility to bring Phelps in as well. The Ravens are looking to return to the postseason for the fourth season in a row. The hope would be they can also get past the Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills to make it to a Super Bowl. Baltimore was able to make it to the Divisional Round of the playoffs in 2024, but they were bested by the Bills with a final score of 27-25. The 2023 season saw the Ravens make the AFC Championship, but fell to the Chiefs with a 17-10 final score. Baltimore has the right team to get to the big game, but they continue to fail in the postseason. The good news is the team is still one of the best built in the AFC, and they have a good shot at making it deep in the playoffs in 2025. Whether swimming lessons will help them remains to be seen, but bringing in Phelps should be hugely inspirational. For more on the Ravens and NFL, head to Newsweek Sports.

Authorities abandon recovery of German Olympian killed in Pakistan
Authorities have abandoned efforts to recover the body of German Olympic biathlete Laura Dahlmeier, who died in a mountaineering accident in Pakistan this week. Dahlmeier was confirmed dead on Wednesday, having been hit by falling rocks while climbing at an altitude of 5,700 metres (18,700 feet) on Laila Peak in the Karakoram range. Attempts to recover her body were abandoned due to "dangerous" conditions at the site, Dahlmeier's management agency said Thursday. In consultation with the Alpine Club of Pakistan, the agency said her relatives would "continue to monitor the situation... and are keeping the option of arranging a rescue at a later date". Several of Dahlmeier's colleages confirmed the two-time Olympic gold medallist had said she did not want her body recovered if it put any would-be rescuers at risk. German mountaineer Thomas Huber was part of a team who had attempted a rescue but told reporters on Thursday: "We have decided she should stay, because that was her wish." Another member of the rescue team, American Jackson Marvell told AFP it would be "disrespectful" to recover her body contrary to her wishes. Marvell said "the recovery of Laura's body will be possible, but it involves incredible risks, both on foot and by helicopter". Dahlmeier's climbing partner Marina Krauss, who was with her at the time of the incident, said at a press conference on Thursday the former Olympian did not move after being caught in a rockfall. "I saw Laura being hit by a huge rock and then being thrown against the wall. And from that moment on, she didn't move again," Krauss told reporters. Krauss said she was unable to reach Dahlmeier and called for outside support. "It was impossible for me to get there safely. "It was clear to me the only way to help her was to call a helicopter. She didn't move, she didn't show any signs (of movement). I called out to her, but there was no response." "She only had a chance if help arrived immediately," she said. Dahlmeier won seven world championship gold medals, and at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang she became the first woman biathlete to win both the sprint and the pursuit at the same Games. Dahlmeier retired from professional competition in 2019 at the age of 25. dwi/dhw Solve the daily Crossword

Hulk Hogan's cause of death reportedly revealed as a heart attack
Legendary WWE wrestler Hulk Hogan reportedly died of acute myocardial infarction, otherwise known as a heart attack, medical records obtained by the New York Post show. Hogan reportedly also had a history of atrial fibrillation, a condition where the heart beats rapidly and irregularly. Hogan also reportedly had "a history of leukemia CCL," per the Post. Hogan had not publicly revealed a leukemia diagnosis. Hogan, whose real name was Terry Bollea, died July 24. Medics were called to Hogan's home for a possible cardiac arrest. He was treated there before being transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. He was 71. In the wake of his death, Hogan received an outpouring of tributes from fans and other wrestling legends. Hogan almost singlehandedly lifted WWE — then-WWF — to relevance during his prime wrestling years in the '80s. While the sport had other superstars at that time, none shined more than Hogan, who parlayed that success into a career in movies, music and general pop culture. While he was revered as an icon early in his career, Hogan's career shifted after he was caught using racial slurs on a leaked sex tape. WWE cut ties with the wrestler for years before finally bringing him back. During his final handful of appearances with WWE, Hogan was booed by fans. On the first episode of WWE's "Raw" following Hogan's death, the company paid tribute to Hogan with a 10-bell salute.
