Wexford's Bannow CCÉ set to showcase its rich musical history at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann
Bannow has always been a wellspring of musical talent, a place where traditional tunes and community spirit dance together in every gathering.
In March 2024, during a spirited charity event, half a band was already filling the room with familiar jigs and reels. It was here that Elaine (Gleeson) Stafford, moved by both the music and the moment, envisioned something bigger: a full band of ten local musicians dedicated to keeping Bannow's rich musical heritage alive on the competitive and community stages alike. With her leadership, The Corach Céilí Band was born with a single, ambitious goal: to represent their beloved Bannow at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann in Wexford last August.
