Is Gautam Adani helping Israel in War against Iran? Israeli hunter drone Hermes-450 wreaks havoc, Tehran's air defense..., manufactured in...
Gautam Adani has extensive investments in Israel. (File) Tehran/Tel Aviv: Tensions between Israel and Iran have entered the sixth day, with both sides launching intense attacks against each other, as the region anxiously braces for the possibility of a wider and more devastating conflict. Early on Wednesday, the Israeli military said new waves of missiles had been launched from Iran. Israeli media outlets reported that the latest salvos triggered sirens across the entire country, including the Tel Aviv area where explosions and fires were reported. The Israeli forces have reportedly used the Hermes 450 to strike high-value targets in Iran. The Hermes 450 drone is part of Elbit Systems' Hermes family. Here are some of the important details: Israel deployed Hermes 450 to eliminate senior officials of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Hermes 450 deployed to target mobile anti-aircraft missile launchers mounted on Iranian trucks. This move was aimed at securing Iranian airspace for its air force and neutralizing Iran's offensive capabilities. Interestingly, exactly one year ago, Israel had refrained from using this drone in Lebanon due to fears that Hezbollah might target them. It is important to note that the drones used by Israel to wreak havoc in Iran were manufactured in India. However, it's unclear whether the Indian-made drones are being used in these operations. But it's a fact that Adani Defence and Israeli defence giant Elbit Systems had entered into an agreement to produce the Hermes drones. Together, Adani Defence and Elbit Systems manufacture the Hermes drones at the 'Adani Elbit UAV Complex' in Hyderabad. This is India's first private UAV manufacturing facility of its kind, where carbon composite aerostructures for the Hermes series drones are built. Both the Hermes 450 and Hermes 900 fall under the Medium Altitude Long Endurance (MALE) category of UAVs, primarily designed for surveillance, communication, and intelligence gathering. Drones like the Hermes 450 and Hermes 900 have transformed Israel's strategic warfare landscape. According to ynetnews, with their help, the Israeli Air Force has destroyed hundreds of radars and anti-aircraft systems, allowing them to now 'target Tehran two to three times a day.' Hermes UAVs remain active in the field for extended periods and consistently maintain their mission capabilities. In other words, these drones manufactured at India's Hyderabad factory are proving to be game changers in some of the world's most dangerous battlefields.
