It works as a hot-air blower which gets three jobs done as one single gadget. On the Aldi website it states: "Grab yourself a multi-functional hot-air blower which performs as a weeder, BBQ lighter and hot air gun for removing paint and varnish to conquer all those garden tasks this year." The 2000-watt machine has no harmful chemicals as it simply spits out hot air, killing the weeds. It has a swivel handle, three temperatures, and five heating nozzles included. The cheap new tool appears in Aldi stores from May 8, so those looking to pep up their patio can pick one up tomorrow. For those looking for a slightly swankier version, B&Q has a weed killer on their site for £38.99. This Electric Weed Burner & Killer heats up air and channels it onto unwanted shrubs. B&Q told gardeners to hold the tool over the weeds for about 10 seconds, after which they will drop and die off the next day. The instructions warn customers that they can burn themselves and urge users to be careful not to touch the nozzle before it's cooled down. I had loads of irritating weeds popping up between my patio slabs - a free hack killed them instantly and they haven't grown back For those whose local is a Lidl, the budget retailer sells a Parkside Electric Weed Burner is £14.99. The Sun's Rebecca Miller tried out the Lidl weed burner and and scored it 4 out of 5 stars. She said: "It does the job, needs better instructions." Dobies offers a Garden Gear Weed Burner for £24.99 which comes with a detachable handle for easy storage and two temperature settings. The garden centre chain knocks the price of the gadget down to £22.49. Dobies described: "Efficiently tackle unwanted weeds with the Garden Gear Weed Burner, a powerful and eco-friendly solution for weed control. "Using high temperatures to target and destroy weeds, this tool provides a chemical-free alternative to traditional herbicides, helping you maintain a healthy, sustainable garden." GARDEN BEST BUYS Once your weeds are gone and the garden is perfectly clean - there are a range of "Plant picks" available from Lidl from tomorrow that will spruce up your household. You can get hold of a Fig Tree for £14.99 or £11.99 if you're shopping in-store. To add a little pizazz to your dinner table, a Large Mixed Bouquet of flowers is on offer for just £5.99. If Lidl isn't your local and the little ones need entertaining, parents can pick up a Bayswood Insect House for £8 from Tesco. The adorable bug house has different-sized holes to appeal to different insects and act as the perfect place for garden critters. 4 The gadget will be available in Aldi stores from tomorrow Credit: Getty
