Taking to Instagram Stories, the actress shared the super amazing news via a video that gave a peek into her dressing-up session before embarking on the new journey. In the clip, the actress is seated while her team styles her hair. Dressed in a simple white top, she radiates natural beauty and happiness.
However, what caught everyone's attention was a short text she added to the story, writing, 'New film = new excitement. Let's go." The message perfectly captures her enthusiasm and fans are already buzzing with curiosity, waiting for details about her upcoming project. The actress did not reveal any details about the film or her role, but the joy on her face says it all.
Genelia D'Souza was away from the screens for a while before making her grand comeback to acting with her Marathi debut film, Ved, alongside her husband Riteish Deshmukh. The film opened to a positive response and became the second-highest-grossing Marathi film after Sairat.
Her last performance in Sitaare Zameen Par alongside Aamir Khan also won hearts. The film, released earlier this year, received rave reviews and remains one of the biggest openers of the year.
Genelia D'Souza On Her Sabbatical
During her participation in a panel discussion on women's empowerment at Elle Impact, the actress said that she was discouraged from making a comeback after a 10-year break to focus on her kids and family. She said, 'It's a part of our life. I feel we hype our success too much and stress a bit too much on failure, whereas the impact and intent of your daily life are what truly matter. Being an actor who has worked in six languages, and someone who took a break because I was having babies, I remember people telling me, 'Oh, you want to come back to films after 10 years? It won't work,' but my comeback film became a cult hit. We shouldn't listen to people."

Coming back to Sitaare Zameen Par, the film is based on the Spanish movie Campeones and serves as a spiritual sequel to Taare Zameen Par – featuring Darsheel Safary alongside Aamir Khan.
