The recent H-1B visa data reveals how much Nike, the global sportswear company offers its software engineers in the United States. The data reveals that salaries range from $139,845 to $301,378 annually on the basis of specialisation and seniority. The data revealed by the US Department of Labour's H-1B visa program, shows Nike's increasing investment in tech roles and the company's moving towards digital transformation and product innovation. As reported by Business Insider, Nike has also filed over 1,200 Labor Condition Applications (LCAs) for H-1B visas between 2022 and 2024 and the company has achieved near perfect approval rate. Software engineering salaries at Nike According to the data from H-1B filings, the salaries of software engineers at Nike vary on the basis of experience and roles. For instance, a general 'Software Engineer' receives an average salary of around $160,961, with a range typically from $141,237 to $183,800. On the other hand, the more senior roles get higher compensation. For instance, "Lead Software Engineer" positions show an average salary of approximately $196,009, with some reaching up to $214,215. Who Nike hires As reported by BI, Nike mostly hire H-1B holders based in Beaverton, Oregon, with additional roles in Hillsboro, Portland, and major cities like New York and San Francisco. As reported by Reuters, the company has confirmed the job cuts, but it has not yet disclosed the number of employees impacted by it. The company revealed that the jobs cuts are part of its broader restructuring effort. As per the report the company has stated that it will outsource some of the tech-related roles to third-party vendors. As per Reuters, a Nike representative said in an email that Nike is laying off some of its employees from its technology division. The representative does not disclose the number of employees affected by the job cuts. He further stated that Nike is also planning to hire some third-party vendors for the tech-related work.
