Law firm raises more than £44,000 for charity
A law firm has raised more than £44,000 for charity.
Ellisons Solicitors, which has offices in Bury St Edmunds, Colchester, Chelmsford, Ipswich, and Frinton-on-Sea, raised the money throughout 2024 as part of its 260th anniversary celebrations.
The money will be donated to several charities, with a particular focus on The Brain Tumour Charity and Essex Wildlife Trust.
Guy Longhurst, managing partner at Ellisons Solicitors, said: "Our 260th anniversary has been about reflecting on our history, celebrating our achievements, and most importantly, giving back to the communities we are proud to be part of.
"The response from our colleagues and local communities has been incredible, and it has been inspiring to see the effort and creativity everyone has put into fundraising.
"Supporting causes like Essex Wildlife Trust and The Brain Tumour Charity has always been a part of our ethos, and we are proud to contribute to their amazing work."
The firm also made many smaller donations to charities at Christmas, including £500 to Bury St Edmunds-based My WiSH Charity.
