Longtime NBC 'Today' weather and feature anchor Al Roker has been tapped to receive a lifetime achievement honor at the 46th Annual News & Documentary Emmy Awards next month. Also set to be given the lifetime achievement is documentary filmmaker, cinematographer, producer, and director Jon Else. The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, which administers the News & Documentary Emmys, announced the news on Thursday. SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — After 11 years, the Chief Executive Officer of Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia (GSHG) announced her decision to retire on Tuesday. 'It has been an incredible honor to serve as the CEO of Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia,' said Else.'Over the years, I have been inspired by the passion, resilience, and achievements of our GirlScouts, volunteers, and staff. While this chapter is coming to a close, I will always cherish thememories we have made together. I look forward to seeing the council continue to grow andthrive in the years ahead.'
