The News & Documentary Emmys are split into two ceremonies, with the first focused on news programming on Wednesday, June 25, and the second centered on documentary fare on Thursday, June 26. Roker will receive his award during the news ceremony, while Else will be honored at the documentary ceremony.
'These Lifetime Achievement honors recognize Al Roker and Jon Else for their enduring contributions to the television industry,' said NATAS prexy Adam Sharp in a statement. 'We honor not only their remarkable work in front of and behind the camera, but also the lasting impact they have made on audiences, the industry and generations of storytellers. NATAS proudly celebrates their commitment to excellence and pivotal roles in shaping the television landscape.'
Roker first joined 'Today' in January 1996; he also now serves as co-host of the 3rd hour of 'Today.' His credits also include Sirius XM's 'Off the Rails' with Dylan Dreyer and Sheinelle Jones, Weather Channel's 'Wake Up with Al' and as a weather forecaster on WNBC-TV. Roker has won three Daytime Emmys — when 'Today' won for best morning newscast in 2007, 2009 and 2010. Roker also co-hosts Sirius XM's 'Off the Rails' with Dylan Dreyer and Sheinelle Jones.
Roker called the award an 'incredible honor. I'm just another indication of either an end-of-career or end-of-life award. Either way, I am so thankful to be the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Emmy and thank everyone that I've worked with who held me up and helped me achieve this great honor.'
Else is known for 'The Day After Trinity: J. Robert Oppenheimer and the Atomic Bomb,' and 'Cadillac Desert,' as well as series producer and cinematographer for Henry Hampton's 'Eyes On The Prize: America's Civil Rights Years.' His other credits include 'Sing Faster: The Stagehands' 'Ring Cycle,'' 'Wonders Are Many: The Making of 'Doctor Atomic,' 'Yosemite: The Fate of Heaven,' 'Palace of Delights: the Exploratorium' and 'Open Outcry.'
Said Else: 'It took me by surprise—What?!?!—completely humbling, and I'm honored. Emmys were the last thing I expected when filming little documentaries 50 years ago. I have to say that whatever I've done in all these years of making television would never have been remotely possible without the incredible support from the devoted men and women of public broadcasting, and to them, I am forever grateful. And the secret of it all was to always work with crazy smart and crazy skilled collaborators.'
The 46th Annual News & Documentary Emmy Awards will will hand out trophies in 66 categories across news and documentary programming. This year, Disney's National Geographic dominated with 46 nominations, helped by 'Trafficked: Underworlds with Mariana van Zeller,' which earned a whopping 29 nominations in various categories (including Outstanding Recorded News Program and Outstanding Investigative News Coverage – Long Form.)
The News & Documentary Emmy ceremonies will take place at the Palladium Times Square in New York City and stream live on NATAS' dedicated viewing platform (available at watch.theemmys.tv) and via The Emmys apps on iOS, tvOS, Android, FireTV and Roku.

6397 Resort 2026 Collection

Lizzie Owens's resort moodboard at 6397 featured a range of paparazzi images of Laura Dern—specifically the actor in the early aughts with her then-partner Ben Harper and their young children. Even more specifically: out and about in Utah at the Sundance Film Festivals of those years. 'You know, my neck of the woods!' said Owens during a preview. What to make of Dern's look back then? It was a lo-fi mish-mash of her Hollywood bona fides and a laidback indie spirit. Dern wore clothes that looked personal and lived-in; this was the pre-stylist era before the runway-to-pap-shot pipeline completely changed celebrity style and became its own mini industry. To Owens's credit, unlike many designers putting celebrities on their moodboards, she did not set out to replicate Dern's look. Rather, she looked to her as a sort of vibe oracle. This lookbook opens with a fantastic moleskin coat cut slimmer than usual at 6397; it's slightly less boyish in proportions but preserves the androgynous appeal of the label's tailoring while being more flattering. A sleeveless double breasted longline coat and a single breasted blazer, also without sleeves, followed similar lines. Also new was a fabulous black dress pieced together with different fabrics. The real hits, however, were the knits. A color-blocked tank top, a second-skin rib, and a couple of long sleeve tees printed on the wrong side to appear faded on the right one—these images don't do them justice, but they show Owens's ability to bring a sense of play to classics. Via Owens's partnership with 6397 founder Stella Ishii, the brand has undergone a funky, cool, youthful renovation. What made the brand a cult favorite remains—those incredible materials and generous, comfortable proportions—but these clothes are more in tune with the sartorial goings-on in the streets of New York now. The News showroom this morning was packed with next-gen market editors, many of whom were perusing the label's racks for the first time. Could 6397 be the next if-you-know-you-know NYC It-brand? No objection here.

What happened on ‘Love Island USA' last night? What you missed from the season 7 premiere

Just got a text... "Love Island USA" is officially back for a seventh season, with the premiere hitting NBC's streaming platform Peacock last night, Tuesday, June 3. And this season brings a group of Floridians looking for love, or at least "like," in Fiji. Although the episode was posted 44 minutes late, the premiere started off strong, with plenty of lip-locking, couple drama and even two bombshells entering the villa on the first night. Here's what you missed on the first episode of "Love Island USA" season seven, who coupled up, which cast members are from Florida and how to watch the second episode tonight, Wednesday, June 4. 'Love Island USA' returns: Here's how to watch, stream the season 7 premiere This season hit the ground running. Instead of "coupling up" based on looks and first impressions, the ladies made their choice of who to "couple up" with after choosing two guys to make out with first. Host (and Floridian) Ariana Madix explained these couples will not only be living together but will take part in challenges and share a bed, emphasizing the importance of chemistry. However, the couples that formed on last night's episode most likely won't remain partnered up for the entire six weeks. Anyone has the chance to steal or couple up with other people's partners throughout the show. There are five couples in total, including one with two Floridians: Watch 'Love Island USA' on Peacock This new season features four Floridian bombshells in the villa: Austin Shepard, 26, Northville, Michigan (Living in Fort Lauderdale) Chelley Bissainthe, 27, from Orlando Nicolas Vansteenberghe, 24, from Jacksonville Yulissa Escobar, 27, from Miami Ace Greene, 25, Los Angeles Austin Shepard, 26, Northville, Michigan Belle-A Walker, 22, Honolulu Chelley Bissainthe, 27, Orlando Huda Mustafa, 24, Raleigh, North Carolina Jeremiah Brown, 25, Los Angeles Nicolas Vansteenberghe, 24, Jacksonville Olandria Carthen, 27, Decatur, Alabama Taylor Williams, 24, Oklahoma City Yulissa Escobar, 27, Miami The premiere episode featured some steamy make-outs, brand-new twists and the beginnings of major drama. Here's a quick recap of how the Floridians did on last night's episode: Austin's first moments in the villa weren't too positive, as he was not chosen by any of the women during the couple shuffle and was coupled up with fellow Floridian Chelley, after her partner was stolen. The Fort Lauderdale pool technician joked around about Chelley not initially choosing him after they kissed. He did admit that if it was his choice, he would've made out with Chelley and Belle-A. Stealing her for a chat, Austin admitted he was very interested in Chelley. They discussed their expectations and what they were looking for in a partner. Later in the evening, the pair discussed living in Florida and all of the critters that call the state home. During the final challenge of the episode, Austin did not kiss anyone. But he did receive a kiss from new bombshell Cierra Ortega. Not only was Chelley the first to arrive at the villa but she was also the first to choose which man she wanted to couple up with. But her first pick, Ace, was stolen by fellow Floridian Yulissa. Earlier in the episode, she shared she had already met Ace back in January outside of a club. After she was coupled up with Austin, she said in a confessional that he was attractive, but stressed that it was only day one and she was keeping her options open. The following day, she shared that Ace was at the top of her list. Chelley and Ace ended up chatting about their initial meeting and their attraction to one another. They both seemed open to exploring their relationship more, despite not being coupled up currently. During the final challenge of the episode, Chelley kissed Ace and received a kiss from Ace, as well as from a new bombshell in the villa: George Georgiou. After Nicolas was coupled up with Belle-A, they discussed her boundaries and why she opted for a kiss on the cheek rather than a make-out session. While she is a frontrunner for Nicolas, he said he would still try to mingle with the other ladies. The following morning, he told Ace that him and Belle-A got more comfortable over the night. But he added that he also wanted to get to know Olandria, after they shared a kiss. During the final challenge of the episode, Nicolas kissed Olandria. He also received a kiss from new bombshell Cierra Ortega. Yulissa ruffled some feathers after she stole Chelley's partner, Ace, during the couple shuffle. However, the two seemed to hit it off afterward when discussing their heritages and families. In a catch-up with the ladies later, she said she wasn't trying to be messy and felt she had to "do what (she has) to do." The following day, she said she felt nervous around Ace but was ready to step outside her comfort zone. During the final challenge of the episode, Yulissa did not kiss anyone else but received a kiss from new bombshell George Georgiou. You can watch 'Love Island USA' live on Bravo and Peacock every day except for Wednesdays. However, there will still be an episode tonight, Wednesday, June 4, since it's premiere week. You can stream new episodes the night they air on Peacock. A premium monthly plan costs $7.99 or $79.99 for one year. The premium plus plan, which is ad-free, costs $13.99 per month or $139.99 a year. You can also catch up on seasons four, five and six of 'Love Island USA' on Peacock. A "Love Island USA" franchise staple, the cast always carries around personalized white water bottles to stay hydrated. Fans can purchase their own on the Love Island website. While "Love Island USA" is not exactly live, it is filmed in real-time with a delay of a day or two before it airs. The winner of each season is the couple that gets the most viewer votes as the favorite couple in the villa. During the finale, the winning couple with the most votes each get envelopes. One envelope has prize money and the other is empty. The person who gets the prize money can choose to keep it for themselves or split it with their partner.
