The 5 Most Memorable Emily Ratajkowski Moments

A glimpse at the iconic moments that catapulted Emily Ratajkowski into Emrata fame Emily Ratajkowski—better known to her fans as EmRata —ascended from a role in the infamous Blurred Lines music video with Robin Thicke to gracing the covers of top magazines and walking for leading ready-to-wear designers in somewhat of a stratospheric rise. Whether launching her own fashion brand, Inamorata, or using her platform to challenge conventions on owning your body and power, Emily Ratajkowski swiftly became far more than a model. Here, we take a look at the moments that have made her a household name. Her debut in Gone Girl Emily's role in David Fincher's Gone Girl was a breakout moment for her acting career. Playing the mysterious character of Andie in the box office hit was more than just a model cameo moment, it was a strategic move that showcased her potential in Hollywood and proved she could hold her own in a drama-heavy thriller. The 2019 Met Gala EmRata delivered a full-on fantasy moment at the 2019 Met Gala, channelling a Cher-inspired goddess in a custom Dundas look. She wore a sheer, crystal-covered gown, but it was her headpiece that truly stole the show. A cascade of sparkling strands and delicate wings framed her face, giving Old Hollywood glamour a futuristic edge. Publishing her first book, My Body In 2021, Emily released My Body —a sharp, deeply personal collection of essays. Peeling back the layers of fame, beauty, and power, she unpacks what it means to be both desired and objectified in the modern world. More than just a memoir, the book cements EmRata as a voice of her industry—one unafraid to challenge the systems that shaped her. Divorce rings Turning heartbreak into high fashion, EmRata made waves in 2024 by transforming her two-stone engagement ring into a pair of chic diamond rings post-divorce. She quickly sparked a new trend—divorce rings as a celebration of independence and fresh starts. Leave it to Emily to make a break-up look this chic. The face of the fringe No one makes a fringe feel as effortlessly cool as Emily Ratajkowski. From her blunt, ultra-glossy fringe to soft, face-framing curtain layers, she's mastered every version of the look. Whether paired with a sleek ponytail or tousled waves, EmRata's fringe is proof that the right hairstyle can go down in history.

Emily Ratajkowski, popularly known as EmRata, went from being known as the 'Blurred Lines' girl to a self-proclaimed 'bad feminist'. Now, she is a prolific supermodel, a New York Times bestselling author, of My Body (2021), has films such as Gone Girl (2014) under her belt, her own podcast, a lingerie and swimwear brand, and a role in Lena Dunham's forthcoming Netflix series Too Much.
