Ayrshire teenager missing for two days may intend to travel to London

Emam Bashir from Dunlop was last seen in Glasgow City Centre on Tuesday, May 13 A missing Ayrshire teenager who hasn't been seen for two days may have travelled to London. Emam Bashir, 14, from Dunlop, was last seen in Glasgow City Centre on Tuesday night, May 13 at around 8.40pm. ‌ After boarding the 8.06pm train from Stewarton to Glasgow Central, Emam was seen heading towards the Union Street area of the city. ‌ Emam is described as black African, 5ft 9in, of slim build with black dreadlocks and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a teal hooded puffer jacket, grey Nike slim-fit tracksuit bottoms and black Nike Air Force trainers and is believed to be in possession of a mobile phone. Police enquiries so far have revealed that Emam, who recently moved to Scotland, had indicated an interest in travelling by train to meet African/Sudanese male friends in Glasgow. Emam may also be intending to travel to London. Police are appealing for information in a bid to trace his whereabouts. A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Officers from Ayrshire are seeking the assistance of the public in an effort to trace a 14-year-old male missing from Dunlop, East Ayrshire. ‌ "He was last seen near Stewarton railway station, Dunlop Street on Tuesday May 13, where he boarded the 8.06pm train to Glasgow - alighting from said train at 8.40pm and heading to Union Street, Glasgow. "Emam is described as black African, 5'9", slim build, black dreadlocks, brown eyes. ‌ "Eman can speak English and Sudanese Arabic and was last seen wearing a teal hooded puffer jacket, grey Nike slim-fit tracksuit bottoms, black Nike Air Force trainers and is believed to be in possession of a mobile phone. "Extensive enquiries are underway which have so far revealed that Emam has recently moved to Scotland and had indicated an interest in travelling by train to meet African/Sudanese male friends in Glasgow. "Emam has extensive knowledge of the London area, where there is suggestion he may be intent on travelling there. "Anyone with information is asked to call the police non-emergency number, 101."
