Stolen vehicle retrieved from Great Miami River
DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — A vehicle reported stolen was recovered from the Great Miami River after an expedition by the Butler County Sheriff's Office.
According to a press release, sheriff's office deputies and Emergency Response Services Unit members responded to the 300 block of Oxford State Road after a resident reported seeing a vehicle partially submerged in the Great Miami River near the water treatment plant.
Crews were dispatched around 6:23 p.m. Tuesday.
The vehicle was recovered with the use of special water response equipment. Crews observed that the vehicle — a blue Kia SUV — was unoccupied. The vehicle was later found to be stolen out of Middletown.
