Humane society brings back designer purse, cash bingo
Hundreds of Erie residents showed their support for animals in need at a fundraiser event Sunday afternoon.
The Erie Humane Society brought back its designer purse and cash prize bingo in a sold-out event at Waldameer's Rainbow Gardens.
Nearly 500 bingo players tried their luck at scoring one of the many Coach, Michael Kors and other designer handbags as well as other cash prizes and basket raffles.
The money raised will benefit animals at the erie humane society who are looking for a new home.
'We treat them like our family until they find their forever families, and we have a small team, but we have a very dedicated team, and it takes a group effort to make a fundraiser like this happen, and every person who is here today is a huge part of that success,' said Emily McCullor, co-interim executive director of the Erie Humane Society.
The Erie Humane Society will be hosting their signature Mutt Gala fundraiser at the end of April.
