EXCLUSIVE Aussie makeup artist reveals what really happened in Mel B's bridal suite before she tied the knot with Rory McPhee
Just one of Mel B 's Spice Girls bandmates – Emma Bunton – was able to attend the singer's star-studded third wedding in London last Saturday. Despite their absence, both Mel C and Victoria Beckham sent public well-wishes to Scary Spice, 50, as she tied the knot with celebrity hairstylist Rory McPhee, 37, at the historic St Paul's Cathedral. Victoria Beckham's parents, Jackie and Tony Adams, led a swathe of celebrity arrivals at the 'low-key' wedding, which saw models Cara Delevingne and Daisy Lowe, and comedians Alan Carr, Katherine Ryan and Tom Allen in attendance. Geri Horner, 52, appeared to snub Mel B this week as she remained the only Spice Girl not to publicly acknowledge the nuptials. However, the vibe in the bridal suite was jubilant, Mel B's Australian makeup artist exclusively tells Daily Mail Australia. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. Sydney celebrity makeup 'veteran' Max May, the man behind the glam of faces like Rita Ora, Lara Worthington and Roxy Jacenko, said the bridal dressing room was 'super calm, with lots of laughs!' on Saturday. Max and his fellow Sydney-based hairstylist Michael Brennan were flown in to work their magic on Mel B's big day. 'I can't speak for her, but what I can say is that Michael and I love working with Mel and put our whole heart and soul into everything we do with her,' he said. Asked whether he was expecting more of the iconic Spice Girls to reunite for the wedding, the stylist diplomatically refused to comment. But he did let slip that Emma was the only Spice Girl he hadn't previously met. 'I sure did chat to Emma!' Max enthused. 'She was actually the last of the group I met — and of course, just as sweet and lovely as I imagined!' Emma, 49, was all smiles as she attended the wedding in her trademark Baby Spice pink, accompanied by her partner, Jade Jones, and son, Beau. Victoria, 51 – who couldn't make the nuptials due to being overseas – shared a photo of the couple and wrote: 'Congratulations @officialmelb @rorymcphee on your special day! 'I couldn't be more excited for you both and wish you a lifetime of happiness! kisses xx.' Honorary Aussie Mel C, who is set to be a judge on The Voice Australia later this year, said she was 'gutted' to miss the ceremony in her tribute post. The 51-year-old was busy performing at the We Love the 90s & 00s Music Festival in Stockholm, Sweden. 'So so happy for you both and beyond gutted I couldn't be there. Excited to celebrate with you really soon! Yippee!' she said. Mel B, 50, cast aside her once wild girl reputation for the lavish ceremony – stunning onlookers by the lack of hard partying and excess – with most of the attendees heading home from The Shard reception by 7pm. Royal-esque glam was the order of the day as the singer tied the knot at the ultra-exclusive St Paul's Cathedral, where King Charles wed Princess Diana. Throughout her career, Mel B has consistently emphasised her working-class roots and, in particular, her upbringing in Leeds. In a thoughtful nod to the working class commute, the singer had her high-profile guests arrive via the London Underground 's boiling hot Central line. Aussie comedian Dave Hughes, who bonded with Mel B during her time on The Masked Singer Australia, posted footage of his tube adventure with wife Holly. 'All class day celebrating an all class couple. A great time had by all,' he wrote. Iconic London landmarks were thematically strong throughout the festivities, and this was also reflected in Mel's makeup. 'With the makeup, we wanted to keep the look as soft, pretty, and natural as possible. Mel loves a flushed cheek, so that's exactly what we did,' Max revealed. 'We used Charlotte Tilbury to create that bronzed, glowing skin — starting with Hollywood Flawless Filter and adding the Sun-Kissed Glow Bronzer to contour her face.' 'For blush, we used Trinny London's Flush Blush in Deep Pink Suede (a cream formula). 'The lips were a combo of MAC's iconic Greige lip liner and their tinted lip gloss in Spite.' Max also met Mel during her time on The Masked Singer in 2022 and 2023, where she worked alongside Hughes, Chrissie Swan, and Abbie Chatfield. 'I've been working with Mel for a few years now across a couple of different TV programs, plus all the publicity shoots that come with them,' he said. 'Michael and I have built a really strong understanding of Mel's look — and I think over time, she's come to really trust us.' Max says he was 'incredibly honoured' to have been at the wedding and 'wouldn't have missed it for the world.' 'I can't thank you enough,' Mel commented on a candid selfie taken with the Sydney duo in the bridal suite. There is more celebrating to come for the happy couple, as they're set to host a second wedding in Morocco, which has been described as 'informal and sexy'.

EXCLUSIVE Mel B's new husband Rory McPhee returns to work at his salon in Leeds after the couple's star-studded wedding - as they prepare to jet off for a second celebration in Morocco
Mel B 's new husband Rory McPhee returned to work at his hair salon on Wednesday, after the couple tied the knot in a star-studded wedding over the weekend. The Spice Girl, 50, exchanged vows with the hairdresser, 37, at St Paul's Cathedral in London on Saturday, before celebrating with a reception at The Shard. With Mel and Rory set to fly to Morocco for a second celebration later this month, it appears that the couple have held off on any immediate honeymoon plans. Rory was seen closing up his Leeds salon several hours early after heading back to work, no doubt ready to spend more time with his new wife. The day kicked off with a ceremony held at the iconic St Paul's cathedral, with many guests making their way there on the London Underground 's boiling hot Central line. Among the celebs on the guest list for the star-studded wedding were Mel B's fellow Spice Girl Emma Bunton and comedians Alan Carr, Katherine Ryan and Tom Allen. The Spice Girl exchanged vows with the hairdresser at St Paul's Cathedral in London on Saturday, before celebrating with a reception at The Shard And her beloved Yorkshire Terrier pup Cookie served a very important role at the nuptials as the ring bearer. After the ceremony, guests jumped onto a boozy party bus to take them to the lavish Shangri-La hotel at The Shard. The wedding party arrived at the reception at 4.30pm, however most of Mel's guests had headed for home by 7pm, with many having already changed into casual clothing following just over two hours of socialising. As one guest put it: 'I'd sort of thought for Scary Spice it would be a massive late night party with all the usual showbiz excess but it was the total opposite – it was actually rather low key. 'Perhaps she's grown up a lot in the last few years and settled down. It was all a long way from how she used to be.' Mel's children, Phoenix, 26, and Angel, 18, spent much of the festivities stood outside the hotel entrance smoking rolled up cigarettes – with security even moving them away from the well-heeled venue to avoid upsetting other residents and visitors. The news of Mel's subdued celebrations comes after it was previously reported that she and her new husband were expected to throw a huge 'party in the sky' amid their £28,000 lavish celebrations at The Shard. At the Shangri-La venue inside the building, friends and family were expected to dance into the small hours as the 'party of the century' had been promised by the bride and groom. The couple first began dating back in 2018, and got engaged in 2022 However, there's more celebrating to come for the happy couple as they're set to host a second wedding in Morocco, which has been described as 'informal and sexy'. The second nuptials will be offer her Spice Girls bandmates a second chance to attend her wedding celebrations after only Emma Bunton attended the big day at St Paul's Cathedral on Saturday. Mel C, 51, and Victoria Beckham, 51, both paid tribute to the bride and groom after they were forced to miss the wedding. However Geri Halliwell has so far failed to acknowledge the star-studded day. Geri will be given the chance to extend an olive branch to Mel if she attends the North African ceremony - which holds a significance for the girl band. In 2015, the Spice Girls had a mini reunion in Morocco when they jetted there to celebrate David Beckham 's 40th birthday. Sporty, Posh, Baby and Ginger looked in great spirits as they posed for snaps at the event - but ironically - this time Mel B was the only Spice Girl not in attendance. Instead, Eva Longoria filled in for Scary - joking 'I'm the new Spice Girl! #LatinaSpice'. Now, there will be chance to get a snap of the full lineup in Morocco if they attend Mel's second wedding in the summer - which she has described as 'more informal, sexy and beautiful '. Mel B told The Sun of her plans for a second wedding to Rory later this summer and said she'd already splashed out on a gown to wear. 'In one incredible afternoon I found two perfect dresses. One beautiful classic dress by Josephine Scott, a British designer, and one stunning dramatic dress by a US designer, Justin Alexander'. The pair have a tempestuous relationship and at times have struggled to be in the same room without there being animosity. Geri continued to snub Mel B on Sunday after her lavish wedding weekend - while the likes of Heidi Klum, Paloma Faith and Kerry Katona led the stars sending the Spice Girl congratulatory messages following the ceremony. However other Spice Girl Victoria was quick to comment under Mel's post saying: 'Congratulations!!!!! We hope you had an amazing day!!!! X kisses xxxxxxxxc.'

Mel B's mother Andrea Brown snubs Geri Halliwell's mum in wedding post fueling speculation that Spice Girls' 'feud' has crossed generations
Mel B 's mother Andrea Brown has sparked speculation that the Spice Girls ' alleged feud is spanning the generations as she shared a post from her daughter's wedding. Scary Spice, 50, tied the knot with her partner Rory McPhee at St Paul's Cathedral in London on Saturday and celebrated with an A-list reception at The Shard afterwards. Emma Bunton was the only Spice Girl in attendance, though Victoria Beckham and Mel C both shared gushing tributes to their bandmate as they sadly missed the day. However, Geri Halliwell notably remained silent on her Instagram as she failed to publicly acknowledge the nuptials, amid claims of tension between her and Mel B. Now, Mel B's mother Andrea - known as 'Andy' - has fuelled rumours of a feud as she took to her own Instagram page to share a photograph of the 'Spice Mums' at the wedding reception. She flashed a smile as she posed with Victoria Beckham's mother Jackie Adams and Mel C's mother Joan Chisholm - who attended despite her own daughter's absence. The glamorous trio looked closer than ever as they posed at the wedding reception, with Andy gushing over how much they had 'missed' Emma's mother Pauline Bunton in a caption. She penned: '30yrs of friendship spice mums my partners in crime miss u sooo much Pauline.' Pauline then replied in the comments: 'Miss you too Andy.' However, there was notably no mention made of Geri's mother Ana María Hidalgo in the caption, as she and her daughter seemingly missed Mel B's wedding. One fan noticed the apparent snub and took to the comments to ask: 'What happened with Ana Maria?' Ana María - who is from Huesca, Spain - tends to keep out of the spotlight and it is not known if she lives in the UK or the reason for her absence from the wedding. Andy, Jackie, Joan and Pauline were often together at the height of the Spice Girls fame, while Ana María remained out of the spotlight in comparison. Ana María has made public appearances with Geri over the years, but snaps from the 90s seem to show she was absent from pictures with the other Spice Girls' mothers on occasion. Elsewhere on Tuesday, Emma's mother Pauline also took to her Instagram Stories to share a sweet throwback with Mel B and Andy. The photograph, taken in 1997, showed the foursome posing with Alan Cumming while Mel C was also visible - though Geri and Victoria were both not. She captioned the snap: 'Celebrating Andy's birthday in Spice World The Movie.' Just weeks before the wedding, Andy had also shared a video of her daughter Mel B with her Spice Girls bandmates Emma, 49, and Mel C, 51, dancing together. The footage was taken at Mel B's 50th birthday celebrations, where Geri and Victoria, 51, were noticeably absent. MailOnline has contacted Geri's representatives for comment. Mel B's representatives declined to comment. Ginger Spice Geri, 52, has notably been absent from Mel B's birthday and wedding celebrations in recent weeks and failed to mention the occasions on social media. While she remained silent on the wedding, Posh shared a sweet black and white throwback of herself and the bride with bandmates Geri, Mel C and Emma. She captioned the snap: 'Congratulations @officalmelb @rorymcphee on your special day! I couldn't be more excited for you both and wish you a lifetime of happiness! kisses xx' Hours earlier, Victoria had also posted another tribute to the couple on Friday with a photograph of herself and Mel looking glamorous together at a recent event. She gushed in a caption: 'Sending love to you @officialmelb! @rorymcphee is a very lucky man! xx' Meanwhile, Mel C shared a photograph of the newlyweds on Saturday evening and admitted she was 'gutted' not to be there. She gushed in a caption: 'So so happy for you both and beyond gutted I couldn't be there. Excited to celebrate with you really soon! Yippee!' Ahead of the wedding, sources told the Mail that there was no bad blood between Victoria and Mel but was simply a scheduling conflict. They said: 'Victoria has long standing plans out of the country and she simply can't be there. 'She adores Mel, they get on really well despite their paths going in opposite directions. It's a real shame. Geri and Mel B revealed that she had an intimate relationship with Geri when the band was starting out while she was being interviewed for Piers Morgan's Life Stories programme 'There is no issue between them, they haven't fallen out. It's just one of those things.' As for Geri, she and Mel have a tempestuous relationship and at times have struggled to be in the same room without there being animosity. The two women went to war after Mel B revealed that she had an intimate relationship with Geri when the band was starting out while she was being interviewed for Piers Morgan's Life Stories programme. Geri was said to have been deeply upset by the bombshell revelation in 2019, for which Mel has apparently never apologised. Sources also say that Geri's husband Christian Horner was 'mortified' about Mel's claims. Mel walked down the aisle for the third time in front of her celebrity friends on Saturday afternoon as she finally became Mrs McPhee. She looked every inch the blushing bride in a pearl-adorned white gown as she married Rory during the stunning ceremony. Celebrities in attendance include TV presenters Gaby Roslin and Angellica Bell, comedians Katherine Ryan and Alan Carr. Leigh Francis, Cara Delevingne as well as the Spice Girls' former manager Simon Fueller were pictured at the ceremony. Mel was able to get married at St Paul's Cathedral because of her OBE, which she got in 2022 for her services to charitable causes and vulnerable women, especially Woman's Aid. It is the third time that Mel said 'I do' after first marrying Dutch backing dancer Jimmy Gulzar in 1998, who she shares her daughter Phoenix, 26, with. After their split in 2000, Mel went on to welcome her second child Angel, 18 - who is a transgender man - with Eddie Murphy. She wed Stephen Belafonte in 2007, first eloping to Las Vegas before holding a vow renewal in Egypt the following year. The couple share a daughter Madison, 13, and separated in 2016 after a bitter split.
