Schroeder's Rascoe is Player of the Week

Schroeder quarterback Emma Rascoe has been a force for the Warriors through the postseason, throwing for 412 yards with eight touchdowns through two games last week. Four of those touchdowns came in in the Class B Final, where the junior also returned an interception for a touchdown to lift the Warriors to their first sectional title in program history. In the Far West Regional, Rascoe found the end zone four more times in the air to secure a 26-14 win. She's also added 154 yards on the ground through Schroeder's last two games, earning a spot in the state semifinals and earning our Player of the Week. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. Schroeder, Finney win flag championships

Class B: (2)Schroeder 41, (1)Arcadia 26 Emma Rascoe tossed four touchdown passes and added an interception for a touchdown as the Warriors cruised past previously unbeaten Arcadia for their first ever flag football title. Rascoe was responsible for the first 20 points of the game. He opened the scoring with a pair of TD passes and then nabbed a short swing pass that went for a 20-yard pick six. The Warriors were instantly in control at 20-0. Aimee Turner answered for the Titans with a TD pass that sliced the lead to 20-7. However, Rascoe found Nina Amico for a touchdown in the final minute of the first half. Addison Morgan opened the second half with a 50 yard interception return for a touchdown to make it 34-7. Samantha Mau ran in a score and Turner hit another touchdown pass to get Arcadia within 34-20. Rascoe's final TD throw of the game to McKenzie Browne ended any hope of a Titan miracle rally. Morgan had a touchdown reception to go with the pick six for Schroeder who ended their year at 13-1. Turner ended the game with three touchdown passes. The Titans also closed their season at 13-1. Class C: (3)C.G. Finney 7, (5)Batavia 0 Allie Frederickson caught a first half touchdown pass and the Finney defense did the rest as the Falcons won their first ever flag football sectional title. Frederickson also had a first half interception. The touchdown came on a deep pass where Frederickson had to go up in a crowd to make the catch and took two steps into the end zone. Finney closed their season on a seven game win streak to end the year at 12-3-1. Batavia finished up 9-4-1. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved.
