Margaret Qualley's next role? A gay private investigator opposite Aubrey Plaza
After 2024's Drive-Away Dolls, Margaret Qualley has her next lesbian role lined up. Sign up for the to keep up with what's new in LGBTQ+ culture and entertainment — delivered three times a week straight (well…) to your inbox! Qualley, who also starred in the Oscar-winning film The Substance, is once again working with husband-and-wife duo Ethan Coen and Tricia Cooke (who is queer) on a new film called Honey Don't!. Honey Don't! stars Qualley as the titular Honey, a gay private investigator who is "investigating a questionable church led by Chris Evans," per i-D. Deadline also reported that Emmy Award-nominated actress Aubrey Plaza is also in the film and will play a mysterious woman, as well as Charlie Day (It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia), Billy Eichner (Bros), Gabby Beans (The Skin of Our Teeth), and Talia Ryder (Never Rarely Sometimes Always). Speaking with i-D, Qualley said the role required her "to be a little more suave than I am, more mysterious. I tend to want to diffuse things before they even happen. [Whereas] Honey, she's like honey — she's skillful, she's smooth, she is slipping in and out undetected." Honey Don't! is a quasi-sequel to 2024's Drive-Away Dolls, where Qualley starred as a slacker lesbian who goes on a road trip with her best friend, unaware that criminals are chasing them. That film released to mixed reviews, but was praised as being "fun, weird, and exactly the kind of queer movie we need more of" by Out. Drive-Away Dolls and Honey Don't! are the first two films in a planned Lesbian B-Movie trilogy that Coen and Cooke have. Qualley says working with the couple is "unlike anything else I've ever known" and while she hasn't been contacted about the planned third film in the trilogy, "let the record show that if I'm not in [the third film], I will be offended and I will be upset," (via i-D). will be released in theaters sometime in 2025.

Trump's ‘The Apprentice' now streaming for first time
The reality TV show that made Donald Trump a celebrity household name has begun streaming for the first time since its 2004 premiere. Amazon Prime Video announced Monday that viewers would be able to stream all seven seasons of 'The Apprentice.' The first season of the Mark Burnett-produced competition show, which also made a star out of contestant Omarosa Manigault, hit the platform Monday — with the remaining six seasons rolling out weekly through April 27. President Trump said in a statement, 'I look forward to watching this show myself — such great memories, and so much fun, but most importantly, it was a learning experience for all of us!' With 16 contestants performing various business-related challenges in pursuit of a $250,000 job at the Trump Organization, 'The Apprentice' became a ratings juggernaut for NBC. Trump, then known as a real estate mogul, gained fame with his signature catchphrase: 'You're fired.' The Emmy Award-nominated series spawned several spinoffs including 'The Celebrity Apprentice,' 'The Apprentice: Martha Stewart' and 'The Ultimate Merger' — a dating competition where eligible bachelors vied for romance with troublemaking Trump protegee Manigault. His three eldest children, Ivanka, Don Jr. and Eric Trump, appeared as advisers through the franchise, which drew celebrities such as Joan Rivers, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Brett Michaels, Dionne Warwick, Arsenio Hall and LaToya Jackson. _____

Amazon to begin streaming Trump reality show ‘The Apprentice'
Amazon announced on Monday that it will begin streaming President Trump's reality TV show 'The Apprentice.' In a release, Prime Video said seasons one through seven of Trump's Emmy Award-nominated series 'The Apprentice' will be available to stream. The show's seasons will roll out weekly, with season one available to view on Monday, March 10. 'The series quickly became the number one show on television after its January 2004 premiere, with an average of 20 million viewers tuning in each week and 28 million watching the Season One finale,' the company said in its release. Producer Mark Burnett, who also produced 'The Voice,' 'Survivor,' and 'Shark Tank,' highlighted Trump's reality TV shows as one of the best he's ever produced. 'The charismatic onscreen presence of President Donald J. Trump made it a bona fide hit!' he said in a statement. 'Now, thanks to Prime Video, a whole new audience will experience a new season every Monday.' Trump said in a statement that he looks forward to rewatching the show because he had 'such great memories' and fun, 'but most importantly, it was a learning experience for all of us!' The show propelled Trump to fame, leaving behind his real estate background and becoming a TV personality. Sixteen candidates participated in challenges for a $250,000 salary as an apprentice at The Trump Organization. Trump hosted 14 of the show's 15 seasons, which is widely recognized as the pathway Trump took to becoming widely known and running for president. Since he served as the show's executive producer, he will likely benefit from the streaming on Prime Video, CNN noted. The announcement comes as Amazon founder Jeff Bezos has become close with Trump in recent months. Amazon donated $1 million to Trump's inauguration in January and announced a $40 million budget for first lady Melania Trump's documentary.
