Qualley, who also starred in the Oscar-winning film The Substance, is once again working with husband-and-wife duo Ethan Coen and Tricia Cooke (who is queer) on a new film called Honey Don't!.
Honey Don't! stars Qualley as the titular Honey, a gay private investigator who is "investigating a questionable church led by Chris Evans," per i-D.
Deadline also reported that Emmy Award-nominated actress Aubrey Plaza is also in the film and will play a mysterious woman, as well as Charlie Day (It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia), Billy Eichner (Bros), Gabby Beans (The Skin of Our Teeth), and Talia Ryder (Never Rarely Sometimes Always).
Speaking with i-D, Qualley said the role required her "to be a little more suave than I am, more mysterious. I tend to want to diffuse things before they even happen. [Whereas] Honey, she's like honey — she's skillful, she's smooth, she is slipping in and out undetected."
Honey Don't! is a quasi-sequel to 2024's Drive-Away Dolls, where Qualley starred as a slacker lesbian who goes on a road trip with her best friend, unaware that criminals are chasing them. That film released to mixed reviews, but was praised as being "fun, weird, and exactly the kind of queer movie we need more of" by Out.
Drive-Away Dolls and Honey Don't! are the first two films in a planned Lesbian B-Movie trilogy that Coen and Cooke have.
Qualley says working with the couple is "unlike anything else I've ever known" and while she hasn't been contacted about the planned third film in the trilogy, "let the record show that if I'm not in [the third film], I will be offended and I will be upset," (via i-D).
will be released in theaters sometime in 2025.

Miley Cyrus hid cost of drugs from accountant by disguising them as vintage clothing purchases
Miley Cyrus concealed the cost of drugs from her accountant during the making of her 2015 album by disguising them as high-end vintage clothing purchases. The 32-year-old singer and songwriter, whose battles with drink and drugs have been well-documented, made the admission during an appearance on the Every Single Album podcast. Speaking about the period surrounding her experimental album Miley Cyrus and Her Dead Petz, Miley said: 'We called (drug purchases) vintage clothes. And every time (my accountant) saw me, she'd be like, 'Where's that, like, $15,000 original John Lennon T-shirt that you bought?' 'It's like, 'Oh, it's upstairs.' So I bought a lot of vintage clothes that year.' The Grammy-winning artist went on to explain to avoid suspicion, she would tell her accountant the garments were 'really delicate' and needed to be stored away to 'protect' them. She added: 'I'm so glad I survived that time in my life. I would definitely not encourage anyone else to go this hard, but the fact that I got through it, I'm very glad I got to do it.' Miley, who rose to prominence as a Disney Channel star before launching a highly successful music career, has long been candid about her relationship with drugs. In a 2013 interview with Rolling Stone, she said: 'Hollywood is a coke town, but weed is so much better. And molly, too. Those are happy drugs – social drugs. They make you want to be with friends. You're out in the open. You're not in a bathroom.' In 2017, she revealed she had gotten sober after rekindling her relationship with then-partner Liam Hemsworth. She told Billboard magazine: 'I haven't smoked weed in three weeks, which is the longest I've ever (gone without it,) I'm not doing drugs, I'm not drinking, I'm completely clean right now!' But in November 2020, Miley acknowledged that she had relapsed during the COVID-19 pandemic. Speaking publicly at the time, she confirmed the setback but said she had resumed sobriety within two weeks. Miley has also recently been in the headlines over a rumoured rift with her country-rock singer father Billy Ray Cyrus, but other reports have said the two have quietly reconciled.

Lena Waithe Dropped Over $35,000 for a Special Piece of 'The Mary Tyler Moore' Set: 'I Will Cherish This'
On Wednesday. June 4, Doyle's Auctions held an auction for "The Collection of Mary Tyler Moore" One of the big sales of the auction was a gold-painted "M" that sat on the wall of Mary Richards' apartment in The Mary Tyler Moore Show The Emmy-winner says it's an "honor" to own the special piece after purchasing it for $35, 200Lena Waithe has purchased a special piece of television history. The Emmy Award winner has purchased the gold-painted "M" that adorned Mary Richards' apartment wall on The Mary Tyler Moore Show. The sale took place on Wednesday, June 4, at Doyle's "The Collection of Mary Tyler Moore" auction. The humble prop was the highlight of the auction, receiving a ton of interest due to its prominence in the background of a beloved sitcom, which aired from 1970 to 1977. Original estimates had the piece going for anywhere from $5,000 to 8,000. The piece far exceeded expectations, opening at $14,000 and ultimately selling for a stunning $35,200. In a statement about the sale, Waithe shares, "I will cherish this piece of television history for the rest of my life. I feel honored to have custody of it until it's time to pass it along to someone else." Never miss a story — sign up for to stay up-to-date on the best of what PEOPLE has to offer, from celebrity news to compelling human interest stories. Other Mary Tyler Moore items garnered impressive sales. A colorful portrait of Moore by Peter Max sold for $15,360. Original Al Hirschfeld drawings capturing Moore's roles in The Dick Van Dyke Show ($6,080) and The Mary Tyler Moore Show ($7,680) also exceeded expectations. Moore began leading The Mary Tyler Moore Show in 1970, not long after her starring role on The Dick Van Dyke Show. The show was produced by her company, MTM Enterprises, which was behind many successful TV series. Her TV alter ego, Mary Richards, was not that different from the real Moore, the late actress once told PEOPLE in 1974. 'I never went the actors' studio route. I'm not an actress who can create a character. I play me. I'm scared that if I tamper with it I might ruin it,' she shared, noting her single girl character happened, in part, because she didn't want to play married again, and CBS didn't want her character to be divorced. She ended up with eight Emmy nominations and four wins for her work on the series. Read the original article on People
