HBO added that Season 3 is currently tracking 20% ahead of last season's viewership. As 'The Gilded Age' audience grows, the network touted the series having reached its highest-ever weekly viewership on HBO Max, based on weekly viewing accounts. It also introduced Merrit Wever as Monica, Bertha's sister. Beyond the wedding bell blues, the eventful installment also saw Jack (Ben Ahlers) and Larry Russell (Harry Richardson) sell their clock patent for $600,000 (equivalent to almost $20 million), though Jack kept the news of his newfound wealth from his fellow workers in the Van Rhijn household. Gladys eventually married the duke, and the pair set off for their new home in England. The action will pick up with Episode 5 Sunday. 'The Gilded Age' airs Sundays on HBO and HBO Max. ‘The Daily Show' staffer crowned winner in Pedro Pascal lookalike contest

In this time of division, a group of New Yorkers found themselves agreeing with each other about one thing this past weekend: Two Pedro Pascals are better than one. On Sunday, Brooklyn eatery Son del North hosted a Pedro Pascal lookalike contest, ultimately crowning George Gountas, a lighting designer for 'The Daily Show,' the winner. Gountas, who according to IMDb has worked for the television program since 2017 and is a two-time Emmy nominee, won in a victorious moment featured on the restaurant's Instagram page. Gountas, whose resemblance to the 'Last of Us' star is certainly uncanny, is a father of two from Brooklyn, according to the Hollywood Reporter. He was awarded a $50 cash prize and 1 year of free burritos from the restaurant. In an interview with the Hollywood Reporter published Monday, Gountas said his coworkers at the 'Daily Show' and his wife encouraged him to participate in the contest after seeing a flyer. 'One of the stage managers, Tyler, found the advertisement for the contest and was like, 'Yo, George, go win some free burritos.' I showed it to my wife and she's like, 'Yeah, you're going to this,'' he told the publication. 'My neighbor is a stylist and art director and she was like, 'I've got shoes for you, I've got pants for you.' It was a whole thing.' Gountas said his wife and kids accompanied him to the contest for support and that he was overwhelmed by how many people showed up, calling it an 'unbelievable' scene. His 'Daily Show' co-workers, he added, were also thrilled about his big win. 'Everyone's super supportive,' he said. 'It's been pretty insane.' Celebrity look-alike contests have become a growing trend after a Timothee Chalamet doppelgänger was crowned in New York City, an event that the 'A Complete Unknown' star showed up to. Since then, contests for actors like Jeremy Allen White and Paul Mescal, among others, have popped up in cities across the world, making a splash on social media. Some winners have walked away with more than bragging rights. The winner of the Chalamet contest was invited to appear in a 'Saturday Night Live' promo for the episode that Chalamet was hosting in January. Others have nabbed deals with brands like Away and Torchys. Pascal, who is active on social media, had not weighed in on the contest as of Monday afternoon. But maybe the Internet's 'daddy' had Father's Day off.'

Sydney Sweeney exudes glamour while arriving to GMA after breaking silence on her split from Jonathan Davino

Sydney Sweeney was the epitome of chic while arriving to Good Morning America to promote her new psychological thriller, Echo Valley, with Julianne Moore. As she appeared on ABC's morning talk show, the Euphoria star, 27, radiated beauty in a sleeveless black vest, white miniskirt and knee-high black leather boots. During Wednesday's segment, she and Moore, 64, discussed their new movie, which was delayed by the 2023 Writers Guild of America strike. When asked what it was like playing Moore's on-screen daughter, Sweeney gushed it was 'a dream come true.' 'I feel terrible though because my character Claire's not the best daughter and she puts her mom through a lot,' the two-time Emmy nominee added. The hosts then shared a trailer of the movie, which began with Sweeney showing up to her estranged mother's home in the pouring rain covered in someone else's blood. Later in the episode Moore revealed she was 'thrilled' to be able to work with the Anyone but You actress, who she first saw in The White Lotus and thought was 'fantastic.' When asked about the plot, Sweeney kept the details vague as she teased it is about 'how far a mother would go for their own child.' After the anchors pressed her for an Euphoria update, the performer assured fans their 'favorite version' of her beloved character Cassie was 'coming back.' Sweeney smiled as she reflected on the privilege of returning to her breakout role for season three. 'It's such a dream being able to play a very emotionally raw and chaotic character; it's so much fun,' the Fifty-Fifty Films co-founder said. Sweeney's latest appearance comes after recently breaking her silence on her split from Jonathan Davino. When asked by The Times if she was still planning a wedding, she confirmed she was no longer engaged. 'I'm learning a lot about myself, spending more time with my friends. And I'm loving it,' she said of the single life. She and Davino, 41, had been together since 2018 and got engaged in 2022. He was a producer on her successful romcom, Anyone But You, co-starring Glen Powell. She and the 36-year-old Texan had such chemistry in the film that many wandered if they were a couple at the time, especially since they decided to lean into the spark while promoting the movie. 'Glenn and I adore each other, so I think we were so happy for the reception of the film.' she said, seeming to shut down any idea of a love connection. 'When you spend so much time with someone, you become close and you talk to each other about anything. So work, life, family, friends, he's just there for me. I'm there for him.' For now, Sweeney is happy to share snuggles and go on outdoor activities with her dogs Sully Bear and Tank, work on restoring vintage cars, and create a real estate empire. She already owns multi-million dollar homes in Los Angeles, South Florida and the Pacific Northwest. 'I'm obsessed with Zillow,' she explained.

Walton Goggins Had This To Say About All The Chat Over His Hairline

Walton Goggins kicked off his hosting stint at Saturday Night Live with a nod to the conversations he's been at the centre of since The White Lotus season three premiered earlier this year. During Saturday night's live broadcast, Walton began with a monologue in which he remarked: 'My character in White Lotus is pretty brooding, which the internet seemed to find attractive. 'Some of my friends have even asked me, 'Walton, what's it like to become a sex symbol at 53 years?'. And you know what, if I'm being honest, it feels fantastic.' 'At least,' he quipped, 'it did until I Googled myself and read some of the headlines.' Cutting to one from Cosmopolitan which read, 'are we all horny for Walton Goggins' receding hairline?', the Emmy nominee responded: 'I've had the same hairline since I was seven. It's not receding, it's holding its ground.' Watch Walton Goggins' full SNL monologue – in which he addresses more headlines that have been written about him and his White Lotus character – in the video below: Walton's SNL hosting stint raised eyebrows when it was first announced, as just weeks earlier, his White Lotus co-star Aimee Lou Wood famously called out the show over a sketch making fun of her teeth. Prior to that, Walton and Aimee were at the centre of speculation that the two may have fallen out with one another, after it was noticed they no longer followed each other on Instagram. Since then, the pair are believed to be following each other on the platform once again, with Walton telling The Standard last week that the former Sex Education star is an 'incredible actor' and 'such an incredible storyteller'. A week earlier, an interview was published with Walton in The Times, which was shut down prematurely after the outlet's reporter repeatedly asked questions about Aimee.
