BBB of Eastern Carolinas announces winners in annual awards ceremony
RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCT) — The Better Business Bureau Serving Eastern Carolinas hosted their annual BBB Awards Ceremony on April 30 in Raleigh.
During the ceremony winners and finalists for the BBB Torch Awards for Ethics and the BBB Torch Scholarships were announced.
A Washington woman won the 2025 BBB Spark Award for her store, Vivrant Things Boutique. Shont'e Mason's business was initially an appointment only shopping experience but has evolved into a place for community. Mason started her program, EmpowHEReD, through her boutique. The program provides free or low-cost clothing to women in need.
A Greenville teenager was also announced as a winner of a 2025 BBB Torch Scholarship recipient. The DH Conley student was selected, along with eight others, by a panel of judges because of the excellence she showed in leadership, community service, personal integrity and academic history.
