Cyrus debuts album at close-knit fan event

In a cosy gathering at LA's Chateau Marmont, Miley Cyrus hosted a special event for fans in collaboration with TikTok. As per Variety, a 100-person audience attended the gathering to listen to Cyrus' upcoming album Something Beautiful, oblivious to the popstar's surprise performance after the album-listening party. Cyrus came in to debut a handful of songs from the album, such as End Of The World and More To Lose, along with a few fan favourites, including an impromptu rendition of her hit 2009 song The Climb, for an exclusive audience. Sharing the process of making Something Beautiful with her fans, Cyrus said at the beginning of the set, "I've been experimenting with this album for the past year or two by having these nights at Chateau. They were invite-only, super exclusive, just my closest friends and my family." She added that these sessions were effective in helping her discover the kind of album she was making. She credited Michael Pollack for his work on the piano and being her songwriting partner. She also gave a shoutout to Jonathan Rado on the guitar and Maxx Morando on the drums. Cyrus said she had to own the album with these three artists by her side. "Making the album and fully realising it all and watching it become this butterfly and have this metamorphosis, this evolution, it's so reflective of my life and everything that I'm experiencing. I pour that into the production," she said. "But at the heart of this album, it's just us, really. It's been us three in a room making this album for the past couple of years." Something Beautiful will be released worldwide on Friday, just days ahead of its visual film, which is scheduled for June 6.

Miley Cyrus's Brand New Song Can't Beat Her Years-Old Smash

Just days before her new album Something Beautiful arrives, Miley Cyrus delivered what appears to be the final promotional tune from the project: 'More to Lose.' Dropped with enough time to reach the Billboard charts before fans rush to buy and stream the full-length, the ballad sadly didn't perform very well via any major metric. One statistic, in particular, underlines just how lackluster a debut it has been forced to settle for. 'More to Lose' launches on the Billboard Global 200 this week at No. 168. The track doesn't manage to land on the accompanying list, the Billboard Global Excl. U.S., which is unusual, given the typical overlap between the two tallies. Cyrus fills two spaces on the Billboard Global 200 this week, and 'More to Lose' isn't the higher-ranking of the pair. Its predecessor, 'End of the World' — the lead single from Something Beautiful — isn't beating it either. Instead, 'Flowers,' the first taste of Cyrus's previous album Endless Summer Vacation, is winning at the moment. That blockbuster steps up three spaces on the Billboard Global 200 to No. 146 and performs even better on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S., where it surges to No. 135. It's rather shocking that 'Flowers' is outperforming all of Cyrus's new music around the world. Not only does it beat 'More to Lose' in what will likely be that track's biggest frame on the tally, but it does so 122 weeks into its time on the Billboard Global 200. 'End of the World,' which received the bulk of the promotion might behind Cyrus this time around, peaked at No. 43 on the ranking, just missing out on the top 40. It then disappeared after just four stays on the list. 'More to Lose' doesn't fare much better when it comes to U.S.-focused charts. It only manages to appear on the Bubbling Under Hot 100, coming in at No. 5 on that ranking, which looks at the biggest hits in the U.S. that couldn't quite make it to the main Hot 100. 'End of the World,' meanwhile, may be reaching its zenith on the pop radio rankings. It keeps at its all-time high on both the Pop Airplay and Adult Contemporary charts while stepping up one spot to a new peak on the Adult Pop Airplay roster.

Miley Cyrus reveals real reason she will NEVER tour again and lifts lid on major telling off from godmother Dolly Parton

She previously blamed it on the fact her stage outfits would get creased — which wasn't a particularly believable reason — but now she has come clean about how she risks losing her trademark voice if she does hit the road. 13 Miley Cyrus hasn't performed a headline world tour in more than a decade Credit: Getty 13 Miley also opens up on a major telling off from godmother Dolly Parton Credit: Getty The End Of The World singer has revealed her famous rasp is caused by a huge polyp — a non-cancerous lump on her vocal cords — as well as a benign swelling called Reinke's edema, which makes singing night after night almost impossible. During an interview with DJ Zane Lowe on his Apple Music 1 radio show last night, Miley explained: 'I have this very large polyp on my vocal cord, which has given me a lot of the tone and the texture that has made me who I am, but it's extremely difficult to perform with because it's like running a marathon with ankle weights on. 'My voice is super- unique because of it, but I do have this Reinke's edema and I have this large polyp on my cords — and I'm not willing to sever it because the chance of waking up from surgery and not sounding like myself is a probability.' Gearing up to release her new album Something Beautiful next Friday, she said two of the tracks, More To Lose and Every Girl You've Ever Loved, were written after she tried to bluff about them in front of her godmother Dolly Parton. Liz Hurley & Billy Ray Cyrus to take huge step after keeping romance secret Recalling how she played the country icon an early demo of the record's title track, Miley said: 'She goes, 'All right, I see what you're doing. You got any hits?' And I'm like, 'I do actually'. 'I had not written it yet. And I was like, 'Well, it's called More To Lose.' 'And she goes, 'Well, you got any more?' 'I'm like, 'I've got a song called Every Girl You've Ever Loved, and you're going to love that'. 'I hadn't even written the song yet.' It came after a telling off from Dolly over Miley's last campaign for her 2023 album Endless Summer Vacation. Miley Cyrus sued over hit Flowers as she's accused of copying Bruno Mars song In the interview, which you can listen to on demand with an Apple Music subscription, she revealed: 'She didn't love my Vacation era either. 'Every day it's just a new picture of you in a bikini' 'She's like, 'Everyone's asking me where you are and I'm wondering the same thing. Every day it's just a new picture of you in a bikini, but what are you going to do for the thing?' 'She picked me up from my house, so I had 45 minutes in a trapped car on the way to her house. 'There was no escaping the talking!' But poor Miley was vindicated when the title track Flowers won her Record of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance at last year's Grammys. She explained: 'I think somewhere inside of me I needed maybe to hold a trophy and just feel for a moment that I have something that I can hold in my hands that feels like a true achievement. 'I never wrote a song thinking I want to get a Grammy, but receiving that Grammy for Flowers felt more like a Band-Aid on a broken heart in some way.' 13 Miley has revealed her famous rasp is caused by a huge polyp — a non-cancerous lump on her vocal cords Credit: Cover Images All said in Jess-T JESSIE J has promised that her upcoming album will be her most emotional yet. Ever the joker, Jessie added: 'Do you know how you take laxatives to go to the toilet? Some of these songs are laxatives for tears. That's the album title. Laxatives For Tears – Jessie J.' It's set to be a big summer for Jessie, who will perform at Wembley Stadium as part of Capital's Summertime Ball with Barclaycard next month. Though after years of shunning the spotlight, she admitted she was worried everyone would start to think that she is oversaturated, due to her busy schedule. Jessie said: 'I'm not sure I can post anything more on my social media. ' I'm bored of myself. I've gone from being nowhere to now everywhere.' Admitting she has taken a leaf out of Pamela Anderson's book by going make-up free as much as possible, she added: 'I don't usually put make-up on any more because I can't be bothered. 'People keep asking me what I want people to feel with my big comeback. 'I don't feel like it's a comeback. It's a celebration of everything we feel and who we are – of everything I've done. Aboard the ‘Tren del Fin del Mundo' – Argentina's railway to the end of the world

Standing at the end of the world felt a lot like home to me. At the train depot, overlooking evergreen forests and a bay of mountains, I stopped to grasp the scene. The piercing morning sun stalked low, out of sight behind the summits of Tierra del Fuego National Park. But for the signposts in Spanish and unfamiliar trees – Magellanic beech, not Atlantic oak – I could have been on Scotland's rugged west coast. I'd come south – all the way south – to the city of Ushuaia at the southernmost-tip of South America, in search of epic landscapes, adventure and a historic frontier in train travel. Tierra del Fuego National Park, the shoreline trails of which I was exploring, is home to the 'End of the World' train (El Tren del Fin del Mundo), and it is a fragile leftover from one of the world's most remote penal colonies, of which more later. It also represents a profitable money-spinner for the blossoming tourist industry in this complex region of wild sea channels, twisting fjords and ferocious winds on the borderlands between Argentina and Chile. For my part, I've had similarly thrilling train experiences across the continent. A journey on the Machu Picchu train 25 years ago in Peru; a rooftop ride on Ecuador's zig-zagging Devil's Nose railway; a sunset visit to Bolivia's 'Great Train Graveyard', near the pearly salt pans of the Salar de Uyuni. But this one on Isla Grande de Tierra del Fuego is by far the toughest to get to and so has a particular air of abandon – and freedom. The irony in this is the steam locomotive was first built in 1909 by convicts, as a 15-mile freight line to transport materials between sawmills and Ushuaia prison. As local guide Grisel Guerrero tells it, no one wanted to live in this far-flung region with little or no opportunities in the 1890s. But the overflowing jails in Buenos Aires, nearly 2,000 miles away, presented the unlikely solution. 'It was our Siberia,' Guerrero told me, while we strolled Ushuaia's waterfront that morning. 'Like the history of the British in Australia, our government formed a penal colony, sending many of the worst offenders here. It would take up to six months to arrive by ship, so before then it was almost impossible for the Argentinian government to populate this land.' Surrounded by the Beagle Channel and hemmed in by the Fuegian Andes, the landscape is far more dramatic than the unwelcoming Russian north. As improbable, hard-to-believe-in places go, it's also worth the expense and time to get to. Lining this largely unpeopled coast are empty beaches and river estuaries teeming with brown trout. There are silvery sawtooth peaks and abrupt glaciers. In such beautiful surroundings, it's small wonder many prisoners decided to stay after earning their right to freedom. By 1952, following an earthquake and landslide, the train had closed. These days, the UK-built convict train – revived in the mid-1990s as a heritage railway ( – wouldn't rival many for glamour. Nor would it match any Tube line in London for efficiency. The distance you travel is only five miles, with one intermediary stop at gently gushing Macarena Waterfall. Besides that, the toy-town-like train takes one hour to reach the end of the line. In Ushuaia itself, the former prison complex, Museo Marítimo y del Presidio de Ushuaia, now charts the intriguing timeline of the early penal colony ( But the rewards of riding the slowest train in South America are profound. After the clanking of gears, there is the screech of wheels on 500mm gauge track and the shrill blow of a whistle carried on the wind. The ride from platform to national reserve is admittedly the stuff of a theme park, with staff garbed in cosplay inmate uniforms, but you realise, excitedly, that this is also an invitation into one of the wildest corners of the Americas. For me, the highlight was the intricacy of land and sea all around at journey's end within Tierra del Fuego National Park ( Onboard, you only have to look out of the window to feel awe. 'This is the end of the world for us,' Guerrero told me, upon the train reaching its last stop. 'Some think that's a negative way of describing Ushuaia, so now we also say it's the beginning of everything. South America, the Pan-American Highway, the start of our lives here. There is no shortage of opportunity and adventure.'

Miley Cyrus Sets The Record Straight About Latest Family Feud Rumours

Miley Cyrus has spoken out about her relationships with her mother, Tish, and father, Billy Ray. Last week, Miley and Tish found themselves at the centre of speculation there may have been a fall-out between them when it was alleged that the latter had unfollowed the latter on Instagram. Meanwhile, the Flowers singer has made no secret of the fact that she and her famous dad have a somewhat complicated relationship throughout her time in the spotlight – but especially in recent years. Over the weekend, the Grammy winner posted a statement on her Instagram story, which read: 'I rarely comment on rumours, but my mama and I are too tight for anything to ever come between us. She's my best friend. 'Like a lot of moms, she doesn't know how to work her phone and somehow unfollowed me – simple, coincidental and uninteresting.' Turning her attention to the Achy Breaky Heart singer, Miley continued: 'My dad and I have had our challenges over the years. Now, in my thirties, family is my priority above all else. 'I'm at peace knowing bridges have been built and time has done a lot of healing.' 'Grateful for the good health and love that flows through my family,' she concluded, signing off the message simply: 'Miley.' Meanwhile, on Sunday – which was Mothers' Day in the US – Billy Ray also posted a statement on Instagram praising both Miley and his ex-wife Tish. 'I'm so proud of Miley and her guts and her courage… her wisdom and strength to bring it when our family needed it most,' Billy Ray wrote. 'We are so close to a full healing. We have all been through a lot.' He continued: 'On this Mother's Day I would like to testify to a couple facts [...] I still very much believe in the power of prayer and respectfully ask if you do also… and have an extra prayer for the Cyrus Family... I humbly would accept.' Billy Ray added: 'Tish Cyrus was and is the very definition of a strong mother. Trust me I'm the first to admit... being married to me was not easy. I'm very good at making mistakes. A very imperfect man. But thank goodness… somewhere along the line my Mama also taught me 'life is a series of adjustments'.' Miley is currently gearing up for the release of her ninth album Something Beautiful later this month. The album was preceded by the single End Of The World, which she previously shared was inspired by her mum, who previously appeared alongside her in the music video for her single Mother's Daughter. This moment at Chateau Marmont was never meant to be shared, it was just for us in the room. Grateful that David Letterman's crew captured this performance of 'End Of The World.'
