MILEY CYRUS hasn't performed a headline world tour in more than a decade, despite fans crying out to see her live.
She previously blamed it on the fact her stage outfits would get creased — which wasn't a particularly believable reason — but now she has come clean about how she risks losing her trademark voice if she does hit the road.

The End Of The World singer has revealed her famous rasp is caused by a huge polyp — a non-cancerous lump on her vocal cords — as well as a benign swelling called Reinke's edema, which makes singing night after night almost impossible.
During an interview with DJ Zane Lowe on his Apple Music 1 radio show last night, Miley explained: 'I have this very large polyp on my vocal cord, which has given me a lot of the tone and the texture that has made me who I am, but it's extremely difficult to perform with because it's like running a marathon with ankle weights on.
'My voice is super- unique because of it, but I do have this Reinke's edema and I have this large polyp on my cords — and I'm not willing to sever it because the chance of waking up from surgery and not sounding like myself is a probability.'
Gearing up to release her new album Something Beautiful next Friday, she said two of the tracks, More To Lose and Every Girl You've Ever Loved, were written after she tried to bluff about them in front of her godmother Dolly Parton.

Recalling how she played the country icon an early demo of the record's title track, Miley said: 'She goes, 'All right, I see what you're doing. You got any hits?' And I'm like, 'I do actually'.
'I had not written it yet. And I was like, 'Well, it's called More To Lose.'
'And she goes, 'Well, you got any more?'
'I'm like, 'I've got a song called Every Girl You've Ever Loved, and you're going to love that'.
'I hadn't even written the song yet.'
It came after a telling off from Dolly over Miley's last campaign for her 2023 album Endless Summer Vacation.
Miley Cyrus sued over hit Flowers as she's accused of copying Bruno Mars song
In the interview, which you can listen to on demand with an Apple Music subscription, she revealed: 'She didn't love my Vacation era either.
'Every day it's just a new picture of you in a bikini'
'She's like, 'Everyone's asking me where you are and I'm wondering the same thing. Every day it's just a new picture of you in a bikini, but what are you going to do for the thing?'
'She picked me up from my house, so I had 45 minutes in a trapped car on the way to her house.
'There was no escaping the talking!'
But poor Miley was vindicated when the title track Flowers won her Record of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance at last year's Grammys.
She explained: 'I think somewhere inside of me I needed maybe to hold a trophy and just feel for a moment that I have something that I can hold in my hands that feels like a true achievement.
'I never wrote a song thinking I want to get a Grammy, but receiving that Grammy for Flowers felt more like a Band-Aid on a broken heart in some way.'

It's set to be a big summer for Jessie, who will perform at Wembley Stadium as part of Capital's Summertime Ball with Barclaycard next month.
Though after years of shunning the spotlight, she admitted she was worried everyone would start to think that she is oversaturated, due to her busy schedule.
Jessie said: 'I'm not sure I can post anything more on my social media.
' I'm bored of myself. I've gone from being nowhere to now everywhere.'
Admitting she has taken a leaf out of Pamela Anderson's book by going make-up free as much as possible, she added: 'I don't usually put make-up on any more because I can't be bothered.
'People keep asking me what I want people to feel with my big comeback.
'I don't feel like it's a comeback. It's a celebration of everything we feel and who we are – of everything I've done. I just love to sing. I want to enjoy it.'

SEVERAL nations are disputing the validity of the public televote in Saturday's Eurovision final.
Our trio Remember Monday got nul points from the viewers – despite reaching tenth place in the jury vote – and there is suspicion there was foul play.

Seven broadcasters, including Ireland's RTE and Belgium's RTBF, have called for a transparent breakdown of voting after Israel – 14th with the jury's scores – topped the televote.
But Thomas Niedermeyer, head of the voting system, insisted: 'The Eurovision Song Contest is by far the most secure audience voting in any TV show.'
We Brits are clearly proud of our entry as What The Hell Just Happened? is No1 on iTunes and set to break into the Top 40 tomorrow.

Oasis gig fans get VIP doc
OASIS fans lucky enough to have got VIP tickets for their sold-out tour this summer will be privy to a very exciting documentary.
I'm told the teams for Noel and Liam Gallagher have signed off a short film to be played on big screens at the stadiums in London, Cardiff, Edinburgh and Dublin.
As well as the brothers, it features diehard fans and band stalwarts such as Brian Cannon, who created the cover for Definitely Maybe, and Alan McGee, who discovered the band.
An insider added: 'This is a proper treat for VIP ticket holders as the documentary is a one-of-a-kind film. It's packed with nostalgia and just the thing to get fans in the mood before Noel and Liam get on stage.'
They should release it later so we can all can enjoy it.

Rihanna and Rocky were spotted at Palm Beach as they swerved the red carpet events at the annual film festival in favour of a more laid-back date night.
On Monday they were at the festival for Rocky's new film, Highest 2 Lowest – their first public appearance since the Met Gala in New York earlier this month, when the couple announced that Ri-Ri was expecting their third baby.
Rihanna always pushes the boundaries with her looks when she's pregnant, and I am all for it.
Who needs oversized shirts and comfy shoes anyway?

EnergyTown is an online city builder game aimed at helping UK schools teach pupils about the energy system It is funded by energy giant Equinor, and hosts yearly school competitions Materials associated with the game describe renewable energy sources as 'less reliable' Climate campaigners accuse it of targeting children with fossil fuel propaganda But Equinor says the game demonstrates how the green energy transition is about balance Environment campaigners have sounded the alarm over a free online game being marketed to UK schoolchildren - which they say is designed to make them feel more positively about fossil fuels. EnergyTown is funded by Norwegian energy giant Equinor. Aimed at children aged nine to 14, it comes with free educational resources to be used in lessons. It allows them to build and power a city that will survive until the year 2050 - while juggling factors like their 'green score', community happiness, and finances. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad The game first launched in October 2023, and as of last year, Equinor said that it had reached more than 81,400 pupils across the UK. The game also holds a schools competition with a £1,000 cash prize, with this year's event set to close on Friday (June 6). But Greenpeace accuses it of being an attempt to 'brainwash schoolchildren'. The game suggests that oil can be part of a green energy mix, and in an online help page - titled 'how to improve your score in EnergyTown - on the game's Equinor-funded host site, it warns young players that renewable energy is 'less reliable'. The EnergyTown game is marketed towards UK schoolchildren, and funded by energy giant Equinor | (Image: National World/Adobe Stock/Getty/AFP via Getty) 'If you're relying on electricity from renewable energy resources like wind and solar power, you may have less electricity due to these energy resources being less reliable,' the page says. 'You should invest in a more reliable way to generate electricity, such as nuclear, oil, natural gas or hydrogen.' Equinor is also the majority owner of the controversial Rosebank oil and gas field development, 80 miles west of Shetland, which is thought to be the largest untapped oilfield in UK waters. In January this year, its consent was quashed by the Scottish Court of Session as unlawful, the BBC reports, meaning its owners must seek fresh approval from the UK Government before they begin extracting oil. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad But the project has been widely protested by campaigners, who say that new oil and gas projects are not compatible with the UK's climate commitments. 'We know exactly what Equinor is playing at,' Mel Evans, the head of Greenpeace UK's climate team, said. 'This so-called educational game is a thinly-disguised attempt to greenwash oil and gas by targeting children with fossil fuel propaganda. The bitter irony is that while fossil fuels may help build a 'sustainable' energy future in the game's fictional world, they're driving more devastating floods in some of these schoolkids' communities,' she continued. 'For that reason alone, this cynical PR ploy is doomed to fail. We know many young children know a lot about the climate crisis and what's driving it. If Equinor wants to win young hearts and minds, it should get serious about ditching fossil fuels and shifting to clean energy.' Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad Equinor spokesperson Magnus Frantzen Eidsvold told us that the game was part of Equinor's ordinary activities and programs 'to stimulate the interest in science and technology (STEM) among young people, and not developed as part of any Rosebank campaign'. 'Equinor wants to contribute to ensuring the next generation is equipped with the skills needed to drive the energy industry and transition forward,' he continued. The game had been developed using data from the International Energy Agency (IEA), which verified the scenarios used in EnergyTown to 'ensure they are realistic and representative of the UK's current energy system'. The game was designed to reflect this complexity and showed that the energy transition was about balance, he added, requiring a mix of sources over time. 'The IEA forecast that fossil fuels may be required in 2050 especially in areas where renewables alone can't meet demand. EnergyTown is not about endorsing any one solution, rather it's about equipping the next generation with knowledge to make better decisions.' The game was developed by marketing agency We Are Futures, and was quality-asserted for UK schoolchildren by the Association for Science Education (ASE). We have approached both organisations for comment. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad

Holly Willoughby shares makeup free selfie on a dog walk after her Netflix show was axed after one series
Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) HOLLY Willoughby is looking on the bright side and enjoying some downtime after her Netflix show was axed. The beloved TV personality shared a new photo today, beaming in a make-up free selfie while she walked her dog. Sign up for the Entertainment newsletter Sign up 5 Holly Willoughby looked happy and carefree in her latest selfie Credit: Instagram 5 The star's Netflix show Celebrity Bear Hunt has been axed after one series Credit: Getty 5 The star hosted the series which was set in the Costa Rican jungle Credit: Netflix With the pup focusing on the path ahead, Holly looked cosy in a dark olive raincoat, wide-rimmed brown hat and a pair of wellies as she went for a stroll. She joked in the caption: "Raincoat ✅ hat ✅ wellies ✅ … must be June 🫢☔️" The star seems to be in good spirits despite her latest show, Celebrity Bear Hunt, was axed by Netflix after only one season. This means for the first time in 20 years Holly doesn't have an active show on television. The series saw Holly head to Costa Rica with survival expert Bear Grylls to put 12 celebs through their paces to test their survival skills. At the end of May, Bear had teased they had big plans for the show going forward while on an appearance on BBC Radio 2. He said: 'God willing, we are bringing Bear Hunt back, nd we're hoping to do it live so it's going to be a live version, which Netflix have never done before. "Raw, real, hunt them down!' However, just two weeks later it was revealed the streamer had pulled the plug on the service. The decision not to recommission the heavily backed series comes following a series of last ditch production meetings where various cost-cutting measures were discussed. Watch the horrific Bear Hunt accident that saw Steph McGovern rushed to medics A source told The Sun: 'Everyone involved with Bear Hunt is absolutely gutted - they loved the format, and it actually hit its targets from the streaming side. "But the overall cost of travel, insurance and, of course, securing big name talent proved too dear - it was completely untenable even after they looked at filming closer to home, and making more of a budget show. 'It is no slight on Holly or Bear either and execs are now trying to find another formula for them to showcase their talents. "Naturally it's a real blow to Holly as it's the latest show to have time called, but she's a professional and knows that sometimes this is how it goes." However, despite the end of the show, Holly's team aren't worried – with the host already working on new projects. 'She's got a number of other exciting projects in the pipeline." they said. "That's showbiz, after all.' 5 Holly and Bear tested the survival skills of celebrities in the reality show Credit: hollywilloughby/Instagram
