Yuzvendra Chahal Rides Customised Royal Enfield Continental GT 650

India and Punjab Kings spinner Yuzvendra Chahal looked super excited as he rode the Royal Enfield Continental GT650. A favourite among young and budding motorcyclists, the Royal Enfield Continental GT650 has captured everyone's interest, with its great power engine, sound and overall strong presence. Now, Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal has joined the list of enthusiasts of the high-end motorcycle. In a YouTube video that grabbed attention, Chahal was seen riding a customised Royal Enfield Continental GT650 with the popular gamer, Soul Regaltos. Enjoying the thunderous note of the Royal Enfield Continental GT650, Chahal was left mesmerised by the latest Enfield edition. In a video shared with the YouTube community by 'SeewithDarshil', Chahal loved his time riding the Continental GT650. The video starts with Chahal and Parv Singh, who is famous as Soul Regaltos, coming downstairs as the gamer shares that he has arrived with the Royal Enfield Continental GT650 for the two of them to ride. An excited Chahal then goes to the parking lot and rides the Continental GT650. Notably, this Royal Enfield Continental GT650 belonged to another popular online gamer, Snax Gaming (Raj Verma). Singh was the first to turn on the motorcycle, as he gave it a light rev. Later on, Singh and Verma asked Chahal to join them and rev the motorcycle to hear its strong exhaust note. As Chahal started revving, he grew in admiration for the motorcycle that was fitted with aftermarket exhausts. Both Soul Regaltos and Chahal were extremely impressed with the exhaust notes of the bike. The two gamers were delighted to have the Indian cricketer on board and get him to enjoy the test ride of the motorcycle. They were especially thrilled when Chahal wore a look of amazement on his face, listening to the bike's thunderous note. For any Royal Enfield enthusiast, the first point of attraction and thrill is always the presence and the sound it generates. But the Royal Enfield Continental GT650 takes it to another level. For Chahal, it must have been a good day out with the bike, away from his playing duties. The cricketer was recently seen playing for Northamptonshire in the County Championship after finishing off his IPL 2025 stint with Punjab Kings. Chahal had returned to the English county club after a fruitful 2024 season, as he pursues his India comeback trail. Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. N.S. to prioritize using timber in new construction, heating of public buildings

Nova Scotia Public Works Minister Fred Tilley makes an announcement about the timber industry in Enfield, N.S., on July 17, 2025. (Jesse Thomas/CTV Atlantic) The Nova Scotia government says it's turning to timber every opportunity it can in the construction and renovation of new public buildings, while also moving to heating public buildings with wood products. The province's Natural Resources Minister Tory Rushton and Public Works Minister Fred Tilley announced the province's new priority to utilize wood products outside the Ledwidge Lumber facility in Enfield, N.S., Thursday morning. 'Now more than ever, we want to use local products for building and heating in Nova Scotia,' said Tilley. 'That's why government is leading by example and using more wood products in our own buildings. 'It's one of many steps our government is taking to make Nova Scotia more self-reliant and energy-secure and to grow our economy and create jobs through innovation in our forestry sector.' The announcement comes on the heels of Northern Pulp's announcement this week that the company, which had long operated a paper mill in Abercrombie, N.S., is leaving the province for good. Northern Pulp was forced to shut down its mill in 2020 after failing to meet environmental guidelines set out by the province regarding its new wastewater treatment facility. The closure and permanent departure leaves a major void in the timber economy, with the absence of a major buyer of low-grade wood, which was a key source of revenue for woodlot owners, sawmill operators and others in the forestry sector. 'This will produce economic benefit for Nova Scotian families while we increase the use of local, sustainable products,' said Rushton. 'Building and heating with wood will produce jobs and reduce our carbon footprint. It's a great way to support our forestry sector and take charge of our low-carbon future.' Currently, 20 public buildings across the province, including schools and hospitals, are using wood-based heating systems and the province says two more are in development. Tilley said the province is updating its design and procurement policies to make wood a preferred choice in future construction and renovation projects, while transitioning oil-based heating systems to wood. Tottenham women's green-belt plan gets green light

Protesters gathered at London City Hall to urge the mayor to reject the development [Guardians of Whitewebbs] Tottenham Hotspur have been given the go-ahead to build a new training ground by City Hall, despite calls by campaigners seeking to protect a park. The football club plans to fence off a section of Whitewebbs Park in Enfield, north London, to build a new women's academy with 11 pitches and a clubhouse. Advertisement A City Hall spokesperson said "while the proposal represents inappropriate development on the green belt, very special circumstances have been demonstrated". Campaigners aiming to save the park said they were disappointed by the decision. Whitewebbs Park was the focus of national attention in April when an ancient oak on its perimeter was chopped down by the pub chain that owns Toby Carvery. 'Flies in face of common sense' Enfield Council approved the Premier League club's plans in February despite 296 objections, many of which were related to the loss of green space and impact on local wildlife. Advertisement The matter was referred to the mayor because the proposed site falls into green-belt land. Sir Sadiq Khan did not have the power to act as the planning authority and the options were limited to either allowing Enfield Council's draft decision to grant permission to proceed unchanged, or directing the council to refuse the application. The main reason given for not blocking the development was that special circumstances had been demonstrated, and a package of public benefits had been secured. These factors were deemed to outweigh any harm caused by the development. The park was bought in 1931 for the use of the public [Friends of Whitewebb Park] The academy's location, adjacent to the existing men's facility, would allow for about 11,000 sq m (2.7 acres) of facilities to be shared, reducing new building work and carbon emissions. Advertisement Public benefits include a community engagement plan for local football training for about 36,700 people annually, and free transport to community training for schools. The proposed site shows football pitches and an academy building [Enfield Council] The Guardians of Whitewebbs, a local ecology group, called the public benefits "paltry" and said the decision "flies in the face of common sense". It argued the development represented a loss of public and biodiverse green space - specifically about 40 acres of rewilded grassland and more than 200 trees. "Football pitches can in no way make up for the permanent loss and degradation of green space," the group said. Advertisement However, Patrick Connaghan, the owner of Capital Girls Elite Development, a girls-only football provision programme in north London, reacted positively to the news. He told BBC Radio London: "On a weekly basis, we struggle for pitch space and with ever-growing financial costs, it's a hard task to find facilities of a standard to train the talents we have. "If this gets off the ground, it will give us access to so many opportunities for young girls to seek visibility and their dreams. "If we invest in the opportunities for grass-roots sports to be better, the ability will rise at the top of the women's football pyramid." Advertisement The leader of Enfield Council, Ergin Erbil, said he was pleased to see the "exciting vision" for Whitewebbs Park move forward. The Guardians of Whitewebbs said they remained resolute and "are determined to explore all avenues for safeguarding the park for all".
