Raised in hardship and betrayed by her partner, Neetu Singh rebuilt her life from scratch and created a Rs 200-crore education empire. Neetu Singh, also known as Neetu Ma'am, is a well-known English teacher and the founder of KD Campus, a renowned coaching institute. But behind her successful career lies a story of struggle, strength and survival. Born in Giridih, Jharkhand, Neetu lost her father in a tragic road accident when she was just three years old. Raised by her mother and elder brother, she grew up in a financially difficult household with six sisters. Despite the hardships, her mother ensured that Neetu received a good education. She studied at Carmel Convent in Giridih and later at St. John's School in Varanasi. Determined to make something of her life, Neetu pursued a degree from Vinoba Bhave University and later earned an LLB from the prestigious Campus Law Centre at Delhi University. In 2005, Neetu started her first coaching centre. A year later, she married Rajiv Soumitra. Together, they founded Paramount Coaching Centre, which quickly became a massive success, turning into a Rs 200-crore business. Alongside teaching, Neetu also wrote a bestselling English grammar book titled English Volume 1, which remains popular among students preparing for competitive exams. However, in 2015, things took a painful turn. Neetu alleges that her husband sent bouncers to assault her and throw her out of Paramount, despite being the co-founder and 50 per cent owner. This incident shocked many. But Neetu didn't give up. The Rise of KD Campus and KD Live Later that same year, she established KD Campus in Mukherjee Nagar, Delhi, naming it after her late father, Kishore Dev. The institute quickly became one of the top coaching centres for government exam preparation, producing many successful students. When the pandemic struck in 2020, Neetu launched an online learning platform called KD Live. Her YouTube channel grew to nearly 2 million subscribers, and her digital efforts helped countless students prepare for exams from home. As per Moneycontrol, Neetu also actively supports orphans, the elderly and underprivileged families, showing that her mission goes beyond academics. A Voice for Students In 2025, Neetu Ma'am became one of the leading voices in the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) protest movement. Her support gave strength to thousands of students fighting for fairness in recruitment exams. Her journey, marked by personal loss and betrayal, has become a symbol of resilience and empowerment. From a girl facing poverty and loss to a national name in education, Neetu Singh's story proves that determination and courage can overcome even the most difficult challenges.
