2 Chainz Explains Why He 'Couldn't Smoke' Around Eminem

2 Chainz reflected on his time in the studio with Eminem while speaking to Shannon Sharpe in an episode of the Club Shay Shay podcast. In the conversation, the 47-year-old revealed that the Detroit rapper's team had some strict guidelines for their session. 'When I did work with Eminem, I couldn't smoke in there. It was kinda funny,' detailed the Atlanta rapper. 'It was his people, not Eminem. Eminem was somewhere writing, but his people are just so concerned with him, they put the speakers outside so I could listen to the beat.' 'I'm outside, it's a beautiful day in Malibu, I'm just smoking the speaker's outside. I come back in to do my verse, and the door's closed and I'm in the booth smoking and I see Em out there and I'm like 'he in there while I'm recording, this hard'. He's about to come in and say something and some of his people are like 'no, don't go in there, he's smoking,' and Em looks like 'sit the f**k down.' I guess he was thinking like 'what do you think I'm about to do?'' he explained. The 'Epiphany' rapper continued, 'I remember them tripping on him, and he was not tripping at all.' Last year, the Detroit musician celebrated 16 years of sobriety since overcoming an addiction to alcohol and drugs earlier in his career. The landmark in his wellness journey was marked with a social media upload that featured the rapper displacing his sobriety medallion. 'My addiction didn't start in my early days when I was coming up. We used to drink 40s on the porch and just battle rap each other. My drug usage started at the beginning of that first album,' he detailed. 'I didn't take anything hard until I got famous. I was experimenting. I hadn't found a drug of choice. Back then, you went on tour, and people were just giving you free drugs. I managed it for a little while. And then, it just became, I like this sh*t is too much and I don't know how to stop.' In 2022, Eminem and his longtime manager, Paul Rosenberg, reflected on how the Grammy-winner learned to rap again after his near-fatal 2007 overdose. Jin's Rock-Star Dreams Are Big and Bold on ‘Echo'

Jin has always been his own kind of romantic within the BTS universe, with his own style. This is the guy you go to for epic swoon-worthy love songs about space travel through the cosmos of the heart, in classics like 'Epiphany' and 'Moon.' (Especially 'Moon.') He summed up his sound with his official solo debut single 'The Astronaut,' his 2022 duet with Coldplay, where he kept hitting high notes from outer space. (But still — especially 'Moon.' What a song, right?) Jin pushes his signature style even further with Echo, his new 7-song EP, with emotional ballads and glossy rock moves that give him a chance to shine bright on his own, all open-hearted charm. Jin is heavily into ripped jeans, leather jackets, long hair, and black nail polish these days, playing up his rock & roll flash, even sporting a Tom Petty t-shirt. It's a change from his previous clean-cut look, but he's obviously embracing his newfound freedom, after two years of mandatory military service. No star has made such a flamboyant celebration out of taking off the solider's uniform since Elvis Presley escaped the Army and returned with the rowdy sex stomp of Elvis Is Back!, the album where Elvis invented the Stones and the Doors. 'The Astronaut' was his temporary farewell to the pop scene, as he and his BTS bandmates went on their hiatus to fulfill their military duties. But as soon as he got out of the service last year, he jumped back into music with his solo debut Happy. He's also stepped out as a budding TV star, on the weirder-than-weird hit Kian's Bizarre B&B, where he manages a bed-and-breakfast on a remote South Korean island, helping a string of wacky guests learn some life lessons. It says a lot about Jin that he'd pick such an unusual project for his big return. (Among other things, he gets to live up to his reputation as as one of the music world's supreme chefs.) All the BTS men have stretched out in different musical directions on their solo projects since the hiatus—his fellow rocker Jimin went for a psychedelic Sgt. Pepper concept on Muse, with 'Smeraldo Garden Marching Band,' while Jungkook threw down with Jack Harlow on Golden and RM duetted with Erykah Badu on Indigo. For Jin, Echo is expansively romantic, full of Eighties-style synth-pop, led by the single 'Don't Say You Love Me,' the ballad of a fragile relationship coming to a messy end. 'Don't tell me that you're gonna miss me,' he sings. 'Just tell me that you wanna kill me.' He tries out some new tricks on Echo, most smashingly on 'Rope It,' his first country song. It begins with horses neighing over a Wild West motif from The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly, breaking into a boot-scootin' line dance with guitar twang and harmonica. Jin struts with pure cowboy swagger, and it's safe to say we're all here for his Yeehaw Era. It proves that 'Seoul Town Road' was just the beginning. 'Rope It' has to be the best BTS-related country moment since J-Hope learned to say 'Howdy, y'all!' for his Texas gig in March. Another highlight is 'Loser,' a high-energy slice of glam-metal that sounds like Jin is gunning to join Def Leppard. He plays half of a bickering couple in a hilarious duet with Yena, formerly of the girl group Iz*One. (She also did the awesome 2023 single 'Hate Rodrigo,' the affectionately cheeky tribute to idolizing a certain so-American pop megastar, which would make a great mash-up with Olivia's 'Obsessed.') 'With the Clouds' has a Bon Jovi-style guitar break. All over Echo, Jin sounds refreshed to be throwing himself back into music, but with the confidence of a star who'd never been away. As his boy Tom Petty would say, may he stay the wild one forever. Best of Rolling Stone The 50 Greatest Eminem Songs All 274 of Taylor Swift's Songs, Ranked The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time

Tupelo couple in Rome have 'goosebumps' as Pope Leo XIV is chosen

ROME – Dwight and Sarah Hardison of Tupelo had an unforgettable day in the Eternal City. They were among the tens of thousands in Rome when white smoke billowed from the Sistine Chapel chimney, the signal that the conclave of cardinals had elected a new pope. The Hardisons left for Italy on May 1, with stops in Naples and Sorrento before taking a train to Rome for a few nights. "On two business trips in the early 2000s to Italy, I had the chance to visit Rome. I had promised to take Sarah to Italy as it was on her bucket list," Dwight Hardison said. This year also is a Jubilee Year, which began on Christmas Eve 2024 and continues until Epiphany in 2026 — a time of celebration, spiritual renewal and a stronger connection to faith. Many Catholics flock to Rome and the Vatican during this time, and the Hardisons were expecting the city to be packed with people. Ironically, Dwight Harrison said prior to the trip, "Maybe we'll see some white smoke if our timing is good." Their timing was indeed good. They began Thursday with a private tour of the Vatican (the Sistine Chapel was closed off to the public because of the conclave). Little did they know what would happen hours later. "Our tour was breathtaking, all the artistry, proportions and beauty of the collections and buildings,' Dwight Hardison said. 'I guess there were 15,000 to 20,000 people. Tours gathered in St Peter's square and the surrounding area. News stations from everywhere were set up in the square." After their tour ended around 1 p.m. local time, the Hardisons had lunch at a nearby restaurant. "With the next vote around 6 p.m. or so, we decided to see a few more sites near Vatican City,' Dwight Hardison said. At approximately 6:11 p.m. local time, cathedral bells began ringing across Rome — the signal that a new pope, Pope Leo XIV, had been selected. It was unlike anything the couple had ever experienced. "Both Sarah and I had goosebumps knowing we were in Rome near Vatican City for this historic event,' Hardison said. 'We would have rather seen the white smoke to fully mark the occasion; just being here and seeing the reactions of the locals and tourists made it an unforgettable moment."

Create Account Starved for cannon fodder for the war against Ukraine, agents recently raided a slew of sex clubs and frog-marched male customers out the door to enlistment offices. Among the clubs targeted was Bizarre in Moscow, which was holding a special 'MILFs of Ancient Greece' evening. Pro-Kremlin websites claimed the raids were a crackdown on 'LGBT propaganda.' Footage showed the armed raids in action as officers barged into Bizarre. Photos of the raid showed party-goers face down on the floor, but the club's managers said the venue would re-open for business on Thursday night. The anything-goes sex club's management played down the raid. More than 200 people were in attendance at the time, and they were all questioned. One employee told Novaya Gazeta: 'It was absolutely nothing to worry about. It was a regular unscheduled inspection by our state authorities. They identified a number of minimal violations that do not affect the work of the club.' This advertisement has not loaded yet, but your article continues below. According to human rights organizations, Russian cops conducted more than 40 raids at LGBTQ clubs in 2024. It was alleged that beatings, forced confinement, and 'sadistic humiliations' based on sexual and gender identities are staples of the raids. In one raid, young men at the Mono nightclub were handed military draft notices by police. In another incident, authorities raided and shut down a convention celebrating My Little Pony after deeming it 'LGBT propaganda.' Before the Vicious MILFs of Ancient Greece night, Bizarre club publicized a clear warning to attendees, that it 'prohibits the promotion or demonstration of non-traditional sexual relations and/or preferences, LGBT and gender reassignment.' Its website reads: 'Bizarre is the largest club in Moscow. We offer an atmosphere full of comfort. In Bizarre, you can be yourself — free, relaxed and attractive. 'Here you will find music and stylish interiors that will help you realize all your fantasies. Every weekend, artists come to us to put on bright shows. Don't miss the opportunity to enjoy a hookah, cocktails and themed privates.' The website added: 'And the evening will end with gentle caresses by a huge window overlooking the Moscow River. We comply with the laws of the Russian Federation, so we do not provide paid intimate services, and we do not promote LGBT or use drugs.' Columnists Movies Sunshine Girls Toronto & GTA World
