Woman charged after hitting Waterloo building
Police are investigating after a vehicle crashed into a grocery store in a commercial plaza on Laurelwood Drive in Waterloo Saturday afternoon.
Waterloo Regional Police have charged a driver from Wellesley Township after a vehicle struck a building in Waterloo.
It happened around 2 p.m. Saturday. Emergency services were called to a collision in the area of Laurelwood Drive and Erbsville Road.
'A Toyota RAV4 drove into the side of a business, causing extensive damage to the building,' said police in a media release. 'The driver sustained minor physical injuries.'
The driver of the Toyota, a 58-year-old woman, was charged with dangerous operation.
The investigation remains ongoing.
