Woman charged after hitting Waterloo building
Police are investigating after a vehicle crashed into a grocery store in a commercial plaza on Laurelwood Drive in Waterloo Saturday afternoon.
Waterloo Regional Police have charged a driver from Wellesley Township after a vehicle struck a building in Waterloo.
It happened around 2 p.m. Saturday. Emergency services were called to a collision in the area of Laurelwood Drive and Erbsville Road.
'A Toyota RAV4 drove into the side of a business, causing extensive damage to the building,' said police in a media release. 'The driver sustained minor physical injuries.'
The driver of the Toyota, a 58-year-old woman, was charged with dangerous operation.
The investigation remains ongoing.

Suspect sought after woman sexually assaulted on TTC streetcar
Police say the man in the photo is wanted in a sex assault investigation. Toronto police are searching for a man accused of sexually assaulting and harassing a woman on a TTC streetcar at Union Station earlier this week. Police said they got a call for a sexual assault at the downtown transit hub just before 9 p.m. on Tuesday. A man on board streetcar #4432 approached a female passenger and allegedly sexually assaulted and harassed her. On June 24 at about 10 a.m., officers stopped a vehicle for speeding on Highway 400 in Seguin Township. After speaking with the driver, police initiated an impaired driving investigation. As a result, a 38-year-old Parry Sound man was charged with speeding and two impaired driving offences – including operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol concentration of more than 80. In addition to the charges, the vehicles involved was impounded by police for seven days at the owner's expense and both accused also received a 90-day administrative driver's licence suspension. Sarnia man arrested for causing a disturbance

Officers received reports of a man walking into traffic in the area of Christina Street and Wellington Street, and threatening bystanders around 6:15 p.m. Saturday. Officers found the suspect in front of city hall and attempted to speak with him. According to police, the man began yelling at the officers to ensure they were, 'aware of his personal beliefs regarding their job performance, legal knowledge, and arrest authorities.' Police say the incident was disruptive to anyone within earshot, including a nearby patio. The man allegedly raised his fists toward police and threatened violence. Officers used a Taser against the man and brought him in to custody. The 54 year old was charged with mischief, causing a disturbance, and breach of probation.
