Driver killed in fiery crash east of San Jose near Mount Hamilton
One person died when a vehicle crashed into a wall along state Highway 130 near Mount Hamilton east of San Jose on Monday night, according to the California Highway Patrol. The crash was reported at about 8:55 p.m. on Highway 130, also known as Mount Hamilton Road, in the area of Sawtooth Canyon. Investigators determined that a sedan was traveling west on the highway when it went off the roadway and crashed into a culvert and retaining wall, causing the vehicle to become engulfed in flames, CHP officials said. The lone occupant of the vehicle died at the scene. The person's name is not yet available from the Santa Clara County Medical Examiner's Office. Traffic was unaffected Monday night due to the remote location of where the crash occurred, according to the CHP.

Denver police say driver flees scene of crash with officer inside the vehicle
The Denver Police Department said one of its officers had a close call Sunday after a suspect crashed a vehicle, then tried to flee the scene with the officer inside. Police said the crash occurred around 3:46 p.m. near the intersection of Colfax Avenue and Osage Street. When officers arrived, they found an unresponsive person inside a white GMC Yukon. Authorities said an officer entered the vehicle to turn it off and render aid to the driver, when the driver suddenly regained consciousness and tried to flee the scene with the officer still inside. CBS A few blocks away, police used a precision immobilization technique and forced the Yukon into a light pole, bringing it to a stop. Officers then took the suspect into custody. No one was injured in the crash, said police, and the case remains under investigation.

One dead after single-vehicle crash in Bay of Plenty
A person has died and three others have been seriously injured in a single vehicle crash in rural Bay of Plenty late last night. Emergency services were called to the crash on Station Road in Poroporo, near Whakaround 10pm on Sunday. The police say one person was found dead at the scene, and three others were taken to hospital in a serious condition. Station Road was closed during a scene examination last night, and reopened at about 4.20 this morning. Hermitage man hit and killed by vehicle in Sharon
SHARON, Pa. (WKBN) — One man is dead after being struck by a vehicle in Sharon Saturday night. According to a news release from Sharon police, emergency crews were dispatched to the intersection of East State Street and Buhl Boulevard shortly after 9:30 p.m. for a vehicle versus pedestrian crash. The pedestrian, a 73-year-old man from Hermitage, suffered serious injuries and was transferred to Sharon Regional, where he later died. His name has not yet been released. Woman, 71, in critical condition following crash in Halawa
HONOLULU (KHON2) — A woman is in critical condition following a critical vehicle crash on the H-3 Freeway. 23yo motorcyclist killed in crash on Pali Highway According to Honolulu Police Department, on June 7 around 2 p.m., a 71-year-old female was driving westbound on the H-3 Freeway in the Harano Tunnel when she rear-ended a 49-year-old male driver operating a large dump truck, which was also traveling westbound. As a result of the crash, the female was pinned in the vehicle and had to be extricated. Honolulu Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene, and the woman was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.
