Woman charged after hitting Waterloo building
Police are investigating after a vehicle crashed into a grocery store in a commercial plaza on Laurelwood Drive in Waterloo Saturday afternoon. Waterloo Regional Police have charged a driver from Wellesley Township after a vehicle struck a building in Waterloo. It happened around 2 p.m. Saturday. Emergency services were called to a collision in the area of Laurelwood Drive and Erbsville Road. 'A Toyota RAV4 drove into the side of a business, causing extensive damage to the building,' said police in a media release. 'The driver sustained minor physical injuries.' The driver of the Toyota, a 58-year-old woman, was charged with dangerous operation. Driver suffers minor injuries after crashing into Waterloo grocery store

Waterloo Regional Police say the incident happened around 4:40 p.m. According to police, the vehicle remains lodged in the building as crews assess the structure's integrity. The driver was taken to hospital with minor injuries. Investigators are working to determine the cause of the collision. No other injuries have been reported at this time.
