Eutelsat appoints Eric Labaye as Chairman
Eric Labaye brings over three decades of experience in telecommunications, high-tech and public sector strategy. Eutelsat Communications has appointed Éric Labaye as the new Chairman of both Eutelsat Communications and Eutelsat SA, following approval by the Board of Directors at its latest meeting. Labaye succeeds Dominique DHinnin, who had earlier announced he would not seek renewal of his mandate beyond February 2025. Labayes appointment is effective from August 4, 2025, and he will serve as Chairman until the next Shareholders' General Meeting, where his appointment will be proposed for a full term. The board also confirmed other key changes to its composition. Michel Combes has stepped down from his position, effective August 3, while Lucia Sinapi-Thomas has been co-opted as an independent board member. In addition, Guillemette Kreis, representing Frances Agence des Participations de lÉtat (APE), joins the board as the French States representative. With these changes, the board will comprise ten members, six of whom are independent, and five womenachieving a 50% female representation. LONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- The Board of Directors of Eutelsat (ISIN: FR0010221234 - Euronext Paris / London Stock Exchange: ETL) approved the co-optation of Eric Labaye as a Board member and his appointment as Chairman of Eutelsat Communications and Eutelsat SA on the occasion of the Board Meeting of 4 th August 2025. He succeeds Dominique D'Hinnin who had announced his decision not to seek the renewal of his mandate on February 14 th, 2025. Eric Labaye's appointment is effective on 4 th August 2025. The Board also acknowledged the appointment of Guillemette Kreis (Agence des Participations de l'Etat - APE) as the representative of the French State. Following these changes, Eutelsat Communications' Board of Directors will be composed of 10 members, of which 6 Independent Directors. It will include five women, equating to a representation of 50%.
