April 11: Jefferson CC Open House and Career Expo
WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWTI) – Jefferson Community College will be hosting its annual open house and career expo on Friday, April 11. The event will be held in the Jules Center Commons (Building 6) with check-in starting at 8:15 a.m. Jefferson CC hosting Instant Admit Week This year's event will have a restructured open house event featuring a networking fair with local employers. Our goal is to create an event that empowers prospective students with the knowledge and resources to make informed decisions about their college paths and simultaneously, connect them with industry professionals early on in their decision making. Chelsea Marra, Jefferson CC Director of Admissions Some of the highlights of the career expo are: A networking fair featuring 40+ local employers offering career guidance, job opportunities, and insights into in-demand skills. An opportunity to meet faculty and ask questions about specific academic programs of interest. Campus tours showcasing JCC's facilities, residence halls, and resources. An opportunity to hear from current students about academics, campus life, and athletics. Student services fair where prospective students can learn more career services, access and opportunity programs, veteran services and more. The event will also feature keynote speaker Eric Mina, an inspirational speaker, hypnotherapist, entrepreneur, author, and philanthropist. Mina holds a psychology degree from Penn State University and has captivated audiences across the U.S. and internationally, including in Las Vegas, New York, and Australia.
