FanDuel Sports Network now available as an add-on bundle through Amazon Prime

A new avenue to access streams to watch three of the four major professional Detroit sports teams is now available. FanDuel Sports Network, the network that carries Detroit Tigers, Pistons and Red Wings games, starting Wednesday can now be purchased as an add-on subscription through Amazon Prime. The news was first announced in November as a way to offer multiple avenues for fans to access games. The new streaming option costs $19.99 per month with a seven-day free trial, which is the same price as the monthly plan directly through FanDuel Sports Network Detroit. A season pass and an annual pricing plan will be announced at a later date according to Main Street Sports Group, previously known as Diamond Sports Group. Fans will also be able to buy single-game passes through the FanDuel Sports Network app for $6.99 for the NBA and NHL, though it is not available for MLB. Single-game purchases will not be available on Amazon Prime. Single-game purchases became available through FanDuel Sports Network in December. FanDuel Sports Network will remain available through cable and streaming through the FDSN app. To access it through Amazon Prime, you must purchase the bundle as an add-on to your account, meaning you cannot log in through Prime with an already existing FanDuel Sports Network account. 'We're always looking for new and innovative ways to serve our teams and viewers,' said Eric Ratchman, President of Distribution and Business Development for Main Street Sports Group, in a released statement. 'This relationship with Prime Video gives fans another way to watch their favorite local teams and underscores the essential role our distribution partners play in driving our future growth. We're excited to offer a seamless and convenient way to stay in the game.' The timing comes as all three Detroit teams will start showing up on FanDuel Sports Network. The Pistons and Red Wings return from their respective midseason breaks for the NBA All-Star Game and hockey's 4 Nations tournament this weekend. Both teams are in the playoff hunt entering the final stretch of the 2024-25 season.
